Posts are not changed by admins or moderators without notifying the author. There are a few exceptions but unless your are posting viagra spam you shouldn't worry about this.

Of course moderators, admins or software can make mistakes... If you think this happened there is no need to panic but please PM ground_control or another moderator with a thread and the (description of) the original content so he/she can take a look at it.

Dr. Leospace

If Dr.Leospace doesnt reply to this thread personaly i`m leaving and want my acount and all my posts deleted imediately .

Meduzz did you make a set of mistakes ? Why did you use your moderator privalidges ? Why did you press the edit button ? Why did you mark Mr.Smiths post and then press the delete button ? Why did you write your reply in the empty space and post it ?

This situation is not aceptable , its been going on for to long and something must be done about it .

Trust issues?

What we need is a new software for the forum, the current one seems to be very buggy, which leads to a lot of confusion and suspicion.

the original post was replaced with a completely different one. there is no confusion

What I meant is that the new software that should replace the current one, every modifications is noticed at the bottom of the message, as well as the name of the perso who did it.

OK, I tested it, by adding a period to someone's post and then removing it again. When I edit someone else's post, it doesn't show that I (a common moderator) edited it.

I sometimes edit posts that appear on the front page, for example I might add a picture or improve the layout. Here's an example of that:
Run from the Cure

This means you'll have to have faith in my good intentions, and in those of all the other moderators.

"This means you'll have to have faith in my good intentions, and in those of all the other moderators."

That includes me too .

The post i reposted was reposted while Dr.Leospace edited the post from ground controle so i didnt see he had added his name at the bottom untill afterwards .

We will have to wait and see what Meduzz says .

Swim didn't tell me about that. I might have figured out what happened that time as well.

I'm quite convinced Meduzz accidentily used the edit button instead of the reply button. I've made the mistake myself in the past, and I know other moderators have.

See: http://www.psychonaut.com/post-33163.html

Must be that. I wrote the post before heading of to lessons. I noticed my post didn't showed but I was too hasty to check again.

It is quite conceiving, I thought I was quoting but I was editing apparently.

posting before your morning coffee?

bad Meduzz, bad!

Theres nothing paranoid about it . The post did get deleted , it did get replaced . Mr.Smith said that other posts of his had disapeared and caduseus said "I've made the mistake myself in the past, and I know other moderators have. ". And "OK, I tested it, by adding a period to someone's post and then removing it again. When I edit someone else's post, it doesn't show that I (a common moderator) edited it. " .

No paranoia there , just pure proof .

I almost did it once, I remember trying to quote something and delete the content and almost hitting submit, but remembered...

CM deleted a post by me once, but saw his mistake and apologized immediately. I managed to reconstruct it from memory.

Shit like this happens sometimes. I think moderators here generally won't make the same mistake twice and will apologize if they do it, like Meduzz did here.
