I never really saw ketamine as a real entheogen, but I was wondering if it is worth trying. Has anyone tried it or new someone who has tried it?

I would consider it a real entheogen, though it isn't psychedelic. Rather it's dissociative....somewhat like salvia but it has a different mechanism in the brain. Ketamine is like pcp and dxm, though I would say ketamine is far less taxing on your brain than the other NMDA receptor antagonists.....except possibly nitrous which seems to be the least damaging of that class of dissociative. There is a phenomenon known as the k-hole which is somewhat similar to the void of 5-meo-dmt but it can perhaps even be considered more intense.

Terrance Mckenna thought ketamine was interesting though he never openly advocated for it. If you can get your hands on some vitamin k I would really suggest trying it, though know the risks and pre-cautions before hand.

Check out D. M. Turner's account of k, the drug he considers the "ultimate psychedelic journey;

Worth trying, but not using. In my opinion.

If it ever comes so far that machines have taken all the earth's blood, Ketamine will still connect you with the divine, unlike other entheogens who're depending more on earth's health.

You're sensing your very true self, it is the most unbiased psychoactive I have ever known, and to me it has contributed a significant development in realising how every reaction of a human is inherent to passing on information to a certain piece of the consciousness which we all share.

First it seemed that my unconsciousness experience was totally blank. Untill weeks later I suddenly remembered entire worlds with bizarre mythtical happenings, souls and their postures, Egyptian cultures, statues as the time when by. On different days it was as the memories felt back into my head. It's not literally seeing it, but more phases of dreams. There were lessons of how the teachings of art can change as the life intention of a new generation changes.

It does not abide by the rules of shamanism, but yet it stands nowhere close to the modern civilisation. It can make users as egoistic and narcistic as coke users, or it can soften and expand their awareness similar as mushroom tribemembers and even more modest.

The complexes of regular K use are sometimes so drastic because no one experiences them as forceful and no one really goes insane. But something has been shut down. I can't be truly defined as 'fucked up', 'painful experience' and left behind while proceeding.

I prefer doing it unconsciousness with all external sensory shut down. Though you can sense a lot useful if taking a medium dose and laying down, focussing on you = o_O. As a psychonaut, doing Ketamine and not not paying attention to the inner self is hardly mind expansion.

I was spiked with ketamin in xtc pills, it produced the most disturbing halucinations. I found no use for the experience, I would never do Ketamin again.

I have also read that Hoffman and Shulgin both did minor research into Ketamin on the basis it can cause brain damage. I cant give you a source for this and I may be wrong but personally as I said, I wouldnt do ketamin again.

However, Every one is different and I know people that swear by it.

So I guess it depends on you?

If you do try it. Do it in a safe enviroment, at a safe first time dose and have a prepared mind.

I seriously doubt that ketamine cause more damage then nitrous. Where is this conclusion based on?

There is no basis. As I said, I may be wrong.

Thank you for the input. I have some and will give it a try. I'm going to try 50 mg's IM. I don't have a common source for this so I will probably try it once or twice depending. I've heard about people throwing up while using it so I'll probably fast for a little while beforehand.

dont take it often. It does cause serious brain damage. If you really want i can provide some information about that

I would like some more info on the brain damage related to Ketamin if you would like to share mate :)

good idea. Also the first time I took it was the time I felt the most nauseous, and I had smoked before and after sniffing the line. So I would recommend you to be sober when trying it. And also try not to move around too much, it seems to increase the nausea too.

I really like ketamine, although it can be quite addictive if you aren't careful.
A few of my friends have gone through nasty ketamine addictions.

You'll have some really worthwhile experiences with it, just be careful not to abuse it.

I've never felt the need to be sick on ketamine, it has made me a little nauseas at higher doses a couple of times though.

Yeah, I tried it last night. IM route. I tried 60 mg. It was a good worthwhile experience but nothing I would consider the K-hole. I gave the rest to a friend of mine today and don't plan on seeking anymore out. I'll live with the experience and stay away from addiction. I guess the fasting worked because I didn't feel anything but a very slight discomfort in my stomach. I would tell anyone who's interested it would be a good one time thing, but I'll stick to psychedelics.

Ketamine is a horse tranq, just that makes me stay away from it!

It's actually used in hospitals as an alternative to morphine, like has been said above, and in vetenaries on small animals, not horses.

BZP is used was used in worming tablets for animals, plenty of people take BZP.

pcp is a horse tranq.

ketamine is a kitty tranq.

and the best one! take the pretty kitty down the tunnel!

i love ketamine almost next to the phenyl.
