Hey guys, I noticed that a lot of the times after taking stims there is a period of yawning, tiredness, stretching, etc. I have to wonder though, why?

what are stims? :s

edit: hormones?

Maybe its a secret code word for stimulants ?

Sorry stimulants, MDMA, cocaine, etc.

I notice that even after doing several lines of Cocaine that I'm not really very energetic, I suspect this is from being an x meth addict.

Back on topic.....

Does this not happen to everyone else?

First effect I get from amphetamines is total relaxation, and sometimes I even want to sit down and put my feet up, just relax. Then at some point it's getting more energetic and I want to get up.
Yawning not so much. However it's been quite a while since I've done amphetamines and mdma, so maybe I just don't remember?

same. i tried amphetamines a few times as a work/study aid before discovering all it made me want to do was smoke cigarettes and stare into space and go "ahhhhhh.. :) :)" (although dexedrine seemed to work better for me, only tried that once tho)

likewise with caffeine, i have a cup of strong coffee, get a buzz much reminiscent of amphetamines (even a buzzing in my jaw) but i can close my eyes and take a nap

the only drug i think i've tried that actually keeps me awake and really stimulates me is lsd, but you can't use that so much as as study aid.. well.. you can try.. :D

Somehow the effect depends on... I don't know what. Sometimes I can drink a liter of coffee and a good dose of ephedra extract and it makes me sleepy. Almost like I've been taking a sleeping pill. This doesn't always happen, but sometimes it does.

What ever drugs i used to take i always got a short period of yawning just before i came up , and for me the sign that a trip was ending was the first yawn that i`d done since i came up .

Caffeine is my only stimulant experience, but i swear it is like night and day sometimes.

Caffeine, if I'm "up" to begin with just sends me through the roof, I feel awesome (not relaxed or euphoric) but just confident and good.

If I'm tired, and a i drink 200mg of caffeine I basically smash my head on the counter from passing out from tiredness.

....Yeah. Caffeine doesn't really compare though so what the hell am I posting for.

Consume more carbohydrates and royal amounts of good food in general. If your bloodsugar is too low or you're lacking nutrients, a stimulant acts counterproductive and then merely depletes your energy levels since it has no greater reserves to set in. Nutrition/sleep is closely tied with hormone regulation.

This is the case with cafeine, MDMA and amphetamines. Cocaine however, seems holds it's sharp effect even if one has been seriously beyond his line of exhaustion already.

increased levels of serotonin can cause yawning

Not sure if it's coincidence but I'm pretty sure a small cocaine binge has blessed me with a horrible sinus infection. :(

Maybe it was the cut and not the coke ?
