Toungue of crocodile, gizzard of pig, beak of parot, and young monkeys fingers. Boil in a witch's skull for 20 days and 20 nights
then for a week let the moon do the rest
I've been seeing a deeper meaning in movies lately one that kind of relates is the heiroglyphics on the tablet on night at the measuem 2 ( not to mention the general plot itself and more reference to pi) teddy roosevelt's 2nd explination for the tablet seemed completely out if nowhere but if you think about it, that's what the heiroglyphics could definitely mean. Humming bird could represent curiousity, man with spear could represent someone seeking something specific. Those were the first two heiroglyphyics and the forts words "you will find what you seek...."
I decided to watch a little if james in the giant peach yesterday and sure enough more symbolism. A guy showed James magical bugs inside a mini floating thing he made the night before (representing his imagination) and he said they were made out of the recipe above.
When he said moon it focused on his left eye which turned white. For other reasons I've come to think of the left and and the moon being related to subconscious. What if all the old witch's potions were just cleverly hidden symbols? Not meant to be taken litterally. Obviously "witch's skull" was never used back then by witches but think about the symbolism of that, basically saying to think of them like a which
young monkeys fingers could easily represent a theiving type of slyness. pigs gizzard digests just about anything, could represent being able to take in all new information (remember all of things are boilded in a witch's skull, aka our minds, and are meant to be applied mentally) and the beak of a parot could represent... I don't know but a patot repeats things it hears. A toungue could represent communication, the only way a crocodile communicates is by making itself seem calm abd slow
let it boil in your mind for 20 days and 20 nights then set it out ( apply it) for a week and let the moon do the rest. Let your subconscious do the rest
