Wierd little brown buds at the base of san P.???

oka i have these little 1/4" brown things poking out of my san P. about 4 of em' near the base...round..and rough.....and i was just wondering what it could be?

I'm not an experienced San Pedro grower, but do you have a picture? I'm pretty sure its normal, I thought there was another forum with the same problem as you....

I do not know what do you mean with yours 1/4'' cause I look everything in metric system. But what you have described in this couple of sentences this can be new sprouts or new cacti. Try to little be more colourise or send pict.

What's the status of your cacti?
Is it planted in dirt or did you just get a cutting?

It sounds to me (since they're at the base) that they're roots. But without a picture, who knows.

oka,,,heres some pics...........i dont think they are roots cause only 1 is right at the dirt level.............and its is browning just on this one side....but it was already brown when i bought it. but now its a bit more....it came as a 18" rooted cati.....i hade cut the top 2 twin limbs off = about 13"......it was a nice trip...think i will go with dopamine though for stronger Mes. content........but ne way the "buds" are brown and bark like, but underneath is cactus flesh? might just be new arms?


now tell me what they are? please...

Try to say everything in detailed way and send good Pict. This one cant say nothing only brown cacti or brown stick-sin lol. :wink:
