White Crystals from Mescaline Carbonate

So my dog came up to me with an interesting question....

Would it be possible to prepare an acidic solution with citric acid, or HCl, and mix in the mescaline carbonate to get mescaline citrate or HCl from the water??
How should my dog go about this exactly?
Any helps appreciated thanks
