Where in Amsterdam?

I'm going to Amsterdam form my first time (!!!!Finally!!!!) and for my first time I'm going to try mushrooms and/or cacti...any good place in Amsterdam with friendly atmosphere... somewhere you're sure I will enjoy it?

Maybe you can try it in the Vondelpark. (when the sun in shinning, otherwise it's too cold!)

Or take the 51 tram out of the city to the Amsterdam forrest (Amsterdamse Bos), that is a nice place to trip.

But put on your warm jacket, it is damn cold down here !

I had the change to be in Amsterdam by the spring this year, and the weather was very nice, a lot worm. But it seems that Amsterdam is somewhat cold in the winter, right? I've ear that snows there in the winter, and the channels freeze... it must be very nice to see it, although the weather should be very cold indeed!
I'm planning on returning there next summer. How is Amsterdam in the summer?

Yes you should come here in the summer it's much better, maybe it is to warm in Portugal. I would also like to go to Portugal this summer for the Boom festival.
