What is your favorite classic (Serotonergic) psychedelic and why? Vote in the poll and discuss.

I voted LSD as my favourite becuase it has made the biggest difference in my life, So powerfull, So Clear. By far the best.

I would also like to say Shrooms and 2C-B second on the basis that shrooms have gave me some of the warmest sensations and 2C-B for its sheer CEV power. I will never forget my first 2C-B experience

Im yet to try mescaline, I have had it for over a year and havent got round to it :lol:

LSA, Did very little for me just made me feel odd.

DMT, Smoked. Is a waste and holds very little insght in its brief, some what irratic hit in my experience. I've never done DMT in liquid with the MAOI Inhibitor, Dont intend to either.

Without even altering my visual perception that much it made me think very deeply about myself and the world around me. The experience itself is usually very pleasant as well.

I've witnessed astounding inner visions on mushrooms and mimosa, but they never seemed to provide the kind of practical insights I got from LSD. The effects of shrooms and dmt were all extremely colorful and vivid, and I would marvel at the beauty and the harmony and the "love", but a lot of it was ephemeral: wondering whether some sort of alien was communicating with me, etc. With LSD I could always recall my insights the next day, and they were generally of a practical nature.

LSD is also my favorite because it's relatively cheap (compared to mescaline for example), easy to ingest and relatively versatile as far as the setting is concerned. It really seems a very suitable compound for the ills of today's world.

Where's Cannabis? Seeking ideas for writing, interpreting etc. is incredible if you use it right. You don't get blown away, so you are still...aware. I wanted to seek inspiration with shrooms but during the trip I was so far away I almost forgot I wanted to write...

I knew this would get into a shrooms vs lsd debate as it often does in other similar threads across the internet......or so the poll indicates, lol.

Cannabis isn't a classic (serotonergic) psychedelic. It is however a wonderful entheogen and mind expander in its own right.

Are you sure? I thought and was pretty convinced that weed was connected with serotonin but OK. On the other hand, why do you equalize psychedelic with serotonin? Is there a "standard" classification of psychedelic drugs?

Cannabis has it's own receptors, the forementioned substances mostly link to the 5HT2A and 5HT2B receptors.
So as far as I know, THC has nothing to do wit serotonin.

My favorite is Psilocin (so voted psilocybin that get's converted to the active compound)

It's a lot of stuff and with as much interests as I have, you can't know everything.

Mescaline. Closely followed by LSD as a 2nd choice.

It's such a rough job to get sufficient cactus in my system, but once half of the day has passed, it's more profound, dreamy, cosmic, colourful, euphoric and tender, but equally as lineair and straight as LSD. And mescaline and I ride together while LSD is slightely more a matter of letting it go.

Guess I'm lucky with a big stable stomach, speed metabolism and great appetite. But yet, the very easy ingestion of LSD is luxury and without too much barriers the highest level can be reached.

btw, 5-MeO-DMT isnt in the colorado river toad.. 5-OH-dmt is found in it... which is considered to be a poison if taken orally...
