my fav film is OldBoy.
it has an excellent story
its very well directed
the violence is so realistic

i don't really have a favorite movie.
Always forget the names.
Movies from Quentin Tarantino are great, the conversations and all...
i also like movies that are more like a form of art.
Movies wich are weird to look at, movies that aren't perfect.

i'll check oldboy out one of these days, looks good.

Well I don't really have a favorite movie, but I'll have to mention "The Usual Suspects" because it was the first movie that really surprised me at the end.
Isn't old boy japanese? I think I've heard of it, and I'll def watch it if you recommend it.

OldBoy is Korean. directed by Chan-wook Park and one of three centered around revenge. OldBoy, Lady Vengance and Sympathy for Mr Vengance

The movies of Alejandro Jodorowsky, David Lynch, David Cronenburg and of course Terry Gilliam.

Why? Because I like surreal film

I like Kurosawa and felilni . I also like films with chesty morgan .

the saddest music in the world.

breakfast of champions.

Three way tie:

The Big Lebowski: Funny, off beat, overly complex and generally unimportant story with memorable characters.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A perfect translation of a great book. It is Gonzo journalism turned visual.

THX 1138: A great film that is overshadowed by Star Wars (they were great too). It's eerie, it's surreal, it's one of the first films I watched while very stoned.

damn, we seem lo like the same movies......

I like Oldboy a LOT too, the plot's so great just telling it would gather an audience.

also, can't get tired of watching The Big Lebowski and Pulp Fiction even though I've watched both several times.

I can still remember when I watched The Matrix (1999) and it blew my green socks out off my extremities. I wrecked a chair at my house because I jumped on it like it were some rooftop just to fall all matrixesque like 8)

I like a lot Before Sunrise-Sunset too....

BUT if I have to pick an absolute favorite I would go with Waking Life. There's just so much going on in that movie...... :)
