Werdermannianus yay or nay?

Echinopsis Werdermannianus (formerly Trichocereus Werdermannianus) is said to have a higher mescaline content than its cousins but is more ominous with its spines ... anyone have more information on this species?

I never heard of this, I'll look it up in my big cacti book when I get home.
But to be honest I don't think its true.

Looked it up, 'Trout's notes on san pedro' says that mescaline was found to be present in far larger amounts than any other alkaloid present.
But that doesn't mean the cacti contains more mescaline than san pedro.
