I've subscribed to the forum more then a year ago, but havn't been active yet and I decided to change that. So here's a little introduction.

I'm Videlic, 23 years old and very interested in psychedelics. I study Interactive Media and I'm also a colleague of Dr Leospace and CaduceusMercurius.

My interest in psychedelics began with a balloon of n20. The distorted sound and the strange feeling in my head fascinated me and I started reading about it. I found a dutch book on the internet called 'uit je bol' (out of your mind) which described the effects of all kinds of drugs. That really fascinated me and I decided I wanted to try salvia and mushrooms. The salvia was strange and fun, but it was my first mushrooms experience out in the woods which really made me fall in love with psychedelics. After that I couldn't stop reading about it and over the years I've tried all kinds of cannabis, herbs (ephedra, guarana, damiana...), mdma, lsd and recently 4-fmp, 2-cb and dmt. I love to experiment with those substances and I learn a lot from them.

Besides that I like to read (both fiction and non fiction), listen to music (all sort of music, from post rock to idm to techno to world music to psychedelic rock etc.) and watch movies (art house, classics, crazy Japanese stuff, David Lynch  ) I often visit concerts and party's and I'm trying to improve my web design/graphic/video editing skills.

I'm going to try to contribute to the forum, but I'm not sure yet how active I'm gonna be. Anyway, I'd like to read along and learn new things.

Btw, I'm the admin of the Psychonautchannel at youtube, so if there are any ideas for that please message me.

cheers :)

Welcome!

I went through the video files and found two recordings we could use: about 5 minutes of Dennis McKenna and 10 minutes of Christian Rätch, in German. We also have a one hour presentation by Alex Grey on visionary art, but I think it would be nicer to put that one on Google Video. I couldn't find the Erowid recordings, nor could I find that lecture by Allyson and Alex Grey together. Perhaps we didn't capture it yet? Same for the second half of McKenna's lecture, I'm certain I recorded it, and in any case I still have it on tape somewhere.

I thought i did have seen you many times here, but now i see that you have only 16 posts :P

In that case, welcome! :)

Thanks for the welcome :)

Are we allowed to put the whole alex grey presentation on google video? And are we going to subtitle the rätch lecture? The other recordings you mentioned must be somewhere, maybe on my external drive, I'll check it out.

I'll do it the same way we did with the other videos: put references to Alex Grey's website at the start and ending of the video (or even a caption throughout the video), and then when it's online I'll write Alex an email asking him to see if he thinks it's OK. If he doesn't want it there, I'll take it down again.

And are we going to subtitle the rätch lecture?
Yes, 10 minutes isn't that much work. I could create the basic subtitle timing file, and whoever would like to can translate the lecture into English or French/Dutch/etc.
