so out of the 16 jars of rye, only 2 of them are growing at normal rates. they are about 20 - 25% colonized, but the rest are in the 1 - 10% range... wtf. they were all made with the same water to rye ratios, and they are all in the same temps.
theres 2 strains growing, and these two jars arnt even the same strains, so its not a strain thing. why are the rest growing so slow? ive had some drastic temp fluctuations (77 - 93) but they are usually around 80(my new incubator is heating up to 86 as we speak, so thats going to change soon)
what could be the cause of this?
also, the rye looks kinda dry? how moist should it be during colonization? i followed the measurments to the drop, and it was reccomended by a professional grower who gets great results, but i swear there supposed to be more moist.
then again the only other tek ive done is PF and this is pretty diffrent.
