I posted about it in another thread, but I think it's worth one on its own.

When I come down from a trip (well, a good trip in nature, not some clusterfuck in a cementbox or smoking-chamber aka a club), it feels as if I have an uncanny sensitivity for what my body needs, and more so what it doesn't need. Overcooked, overly salty, hot, oily, bitter stuff and meat would gross me out. But take vegetables and fruit for example, boy it's like you taste something for the first time in a long time :D I still remember that slice of honeymelon.

A few weeks ago I played with the thought of adopting a diet that'd pretty much resemble my preferences in very lucid states after tripping. After flipping through a few pages of a Kundalini Yoga book that also talks about diet I googled a bit and found something called a yogic or sattvic diet.

I found it very interesting to note that post-trip preferences and the diet resemble each other so much.


Some months ago I was either agitated, "speedy", or just plain inert and tired, both of which aren't too much fun. It became quite obvious to me that diet influences mood to a higher degree than I thought.
So now I'm in the process of changing my diet accordingly, hopefully with an effect on my minds clarity and energy levels.
