Hallo everyone!
This is my first entry in this wonderful forum, i have been reading the posts for quit some time now,
but never came around to register and comment myself.

External Closing Ceremony following the World Psychedelic Forum 2008 23.- 24. March 2008, Basel, Switzerland

Through experiencing a symbolic «Ego Death», one can regain acess to «Universal Love».

«The Psychedelic Experience» is an instruction manual intended for guiding psychedelic sessions. It was written in 1964 by Timothy Leary, Ralph Metzner and Richard Alpert. It's based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead, wich is a funerary text that describes, the experiences of the consciousness after death, during the interval known as Bardo - between death and rebirth. One can compare the descriptions of the Bardo Thodol with accounts of certain «out of the body» or near-death experiences described by people who have use psychoactive substances.

The concept of this event is to guide the voyagers with a «Audio-Visual Trip Guide», projecting relevant text passages, combined with animations of sacred geometry and carefully selected musical performances, tuned in synchronisation to the specific «Bardo» experienced. With help of reciting the Tibetan manual, one can immediately recognize symptoms and experiences which might otherwise be terrifying, only because of lack of understanding as to what was happening. Recognition is the key, awarness is the reward.

Healing our perception, opening our third eye, passing over our «ego's», remembering «we are one»!

Durch das Erfahren eines symbolischen «Ego-Tode», können wir denn Zugang zur «Universellen Liebe» wiedererlangen.

«Die Psychedelische Erfahrung» ist ein Handbuch, das als Praxisbegleiter in die Welt der psychedelischen Erfahrungen einführt. Es wurde 1964 von Timothy Leary, Richard Alpert und Ralph Metzner verfasst und gilt als Klassiker der psychedelischen Literatur. Das Buch greift auf das «Tibetanische Totenbuch» zurück, ein begleitender Beerdigungs-Text, der die Erfahrungen des Bewusstseins während der Zwischenphase von Tod und Wiedergeburt beschreibt. Dieser Zustand wird auch als Bardo bezeichnet und kann mit Nahtod und ausserkörperlichen Erfahrungen verglichen werden. Dank psychoactiven Substanzen ist es möglich, den Bardo-Zustand bewusst und gezielt auszulösen.

Die Zeremonie in der Nacht vom 23. März 2008 versucht, die psychedelische Erfahrung nach dem Bardo-Prinzip umzusetzen. Mit einem «Audio-Visuellen Reiseführer» werden wichtige Textpassagen des Tibetanischen Totenbuches rezitiert, Animationen der heiligen Geometrie projiziert und ausgewählte psychedelische Musik gezielt eingesetzt, was den Besuchern ermöglicht, den «Bardo»-Zustand annähernd zu verstehen. Erkenntnis ist der Schlüssel - verändertes Bewusstsein ist die Belohnung.

Hi! I attended the world psychedelic forum. It was amazing - i can hardly express it in words!!! Unfortunately i had to leave Sunday afternoon so didnt get to go to your event, im really sad about that - i bet it was a great night and a perfect end to the conference. Let me know how it was! We're there lots of people from the conference, any of the speakers (if they dared)?

We went to the party on Saturday night called Unreal. It was ok but not that great...not very many people attended.

And the Forum... wow... can't express it in writing now... really... incredible!

What I can say is that we recorded something between 10 and 20 hours of lectures, interviews, presentations, rituals, art, love and bliss, which will soon be uploaded, one by one to the Psychonaut Channel.

But now... I realLy need Some gooD sleep! :wink:
