The Problem of Idealism.
A message to the non-thinker.

When your point of view is idealized, your reality gets stimulated to a variable points of definition.
You see, we as a whole have an ability which unfortunately is being used in the wrong way.
We have the ability as a whole, to find answers to complex concepts which we define our lives by.
This ability is in one sense idealism.
But the faith in idealism seems to be fake (to a bigger picture.), as idealism itself seems to fail.
Why live in a so called 'free' world, if you are following a an ideal which somebody other than you figured out?
The immediate answer to this that came to my mind is, it makes your life easier.
This is a very dodgy answer, because it might and it might not.
Since the desire of knowing is overwhelmingly strong in me, I found out that ideals simply made me stupid.
You see, there is no correct ideal model of a human way of life.
Why not look into the reality of yourself instead of pre-thought concepts?
Why believe in other´s ideas to define how you should live your own life?
You shouldn’t. Even though there are ideals that I can’t see any negativity in, you shouldn’t hesitate to question it.

The true message behind this is that I’m asking you the reader to evolve if you haven’t already figured this out.
We have got to advance our minds, we have got to use our freedom to think.
Thus, I think it is important to express your own ideas and concepts.
Let it not be in the hands of someone else, don’t just live your life with an egoistic base of ideas.
Take the next step, and express the journey into another reality.
Raise your awareness, question things and think.
Why should you?
Ask yourself, why not?
My reason behind all of this, is simply that I am trying to find a big but yet simple solution to a very big problem.
If you have stronger arguments against what has been written here, please tell me.
Because, I do question my own constructed ideals and I also need to learn.
It seems that we need a form of idealism to live an efficient way of life for society.
But reality is not just about what makes you happy or glad.
Reality, when expanded, shows you more than just one feeling.
Reality is not just a concept, in fact reality seems to change as we change as a whole.
The obvious paradox here is that, we live in a world which is figured out by somebody else while we think that we define it by ourselves.
What revelations, forms of knowledge and life view did you figure out before you knew somebody else did it?
Have you even traced down the inspiration source?
Where did it actually come from?
This is one of the reasons why I value creativity.
Sometimes, there is a flow inside of me which I can only comprehend through a set of emotion.
I try my best to express these different kinds of notion through music.
And this short written text was an attempt to express a creativity based upon the notion of my philosophy.
A self observed reality, which I know that I'm not the only one in.
But this kind of creative urge, has alienated me.
And I am very lonely with this mindset, so I want to drag you into the mystery as well.
Because we can all connect on another level.
Science and religion cannot touch what I’m talking about.
Only the power of the mind and observation can help us to comprehend the mind.
This is where I seek to be proven right, and this is where I seek to be proven wrong.
What I gain from this is experience, wisdom, knowledge and hopefully a better life.

Written by, just another nobody.

Oh and sorry for my english,
I hope this text starts an interesting conversation.
PLUR!

interesting post,

but i must know...what is your definition of science?

High Lyla , welcome to the forum .

Lyla a dit:

Thank you, Im not a good writer neither a really good philosopher.
So I really have to get killed with arguments here to obtain more wisdom.
But I was reffering to modern brain science, or the current knowledge I know.
Psychology is ofcourse expanding, but the mind cannot be mapped in a solid logical way.
You cant analyze the mind withsomething else than the mind.
We know how certain chemicals monistic physical objects affect the mind, but we cant really prove how it works.
All we have are a bunch of assumptions that change with time really.

From Iceland btw? Lyla?

Yeah,

facts are ofcourse nothing but ''what seems correct at this time'' and changes.

and I know what you meant, just wanted to make sure

and no your writing is not bad, but its good that you keep your mind open and are ready to learn.

en já, þetta er uppáhalds frænkan þín ;D

READ IT AND TELL ME YOUR OPINION!
That is an order! :x

What is this a boring topic?
Am I not worth answering?
*sad*

well, ok fine...i put some effort into this train of thought.
And i was thrilled to share it with my idols here at Psychonaut.cum.

SO DO IT!
DO IT !!!!

Very interesting. I agree with you 100%. As you said at the beginning, that would be better read by the non-thinkers :)

i liked your text but don't know what to comment because i also agreed with everything!

Psyolopher, you say:

"The true message behind this is that I’m asking you the reader to evolve if you haven’t already figured this out.
We have got to advance our minds, we have got to use our freedom to think".

I agree with you to a point, BUT....

A lot of people only want to evolve to a certain level.... Many people get afraid when 'evolving' may mean leaving behind certain mammalian comforts, such as...

Primate heirarchies.....biological reproduction.....superstitious belief systems......seeking refuge in abstraction, we each also seek refuge in a personalized abstract vision of reality....

Our greatest strength is often our greatest weakness.
:?

Can you explain please?

trust me, alienation is not the worst comprehensible state of being. i know because i've been there, i know because you are endowed with gifts of analysis reserved to those able to handle them. i too fritter away most of my waking hours pondering such subjects and i can only reach one conclusion: there is no conclusion.

where to start, where to start.
you would argue that it is either wrong or incorrect or foolish to base ideals off of others before you, and present a form of escapism from these "pre-thought concepts".
however, you cannot escape these concepts, the most simplest ones ingrained during childhood percolate into who you will become. let's take language for example: the language you've used your entire life was obviously engineered by someone other than yourself, but you inevitably find yourself trapped within its parameters. so how do you transcend this "idea" into a more original form, with embracement to self-designation? starting all over is obviously an option (and a damn brave one), but this entails a clean slate; why begin anew with an idea when you can rather expound upon it?

what i'm saying is that we shouldn't dismiss others' ideals, but rather build upon and expand them. that, in my opinion, is the flow of evolution of ideas: to take that which is set in stone and etch something alongside it. in this sense you can attach to creativity in all its forms while still retaining the thoughts and ideas of others.

but this is just my musing on the subject, i could be terribly wrong and every word a lie. but that begs the question, what is right and wrong? that's something for another discussion, however. one i'd definitely be interested to get your arguments on. alas, i'm done with this now; continue to ponder and never stop, you've one powerful mind my friend.
