To have the perfect health, in your opinion, what must one person do for:
Diet
Excercise
Socialising (or lack)
Mental health?

So...
Next question, why don't you do all of the above :mrgreen:

I'd have to say:
Fish, variety of vegetables, grains. Other meat and fruits kept to minimum.
Things that use all muscle groups, I do fairly odd excercises that benefit the overall body & balance, much like intense yoga.
Socialising = I don't know?
Mental health - a small dab of lsd, a bit of meditation, read.

I forget the excercise often,
its not always convienient to buy fish, vegies & fish (of good quality) but the price really isn't bad at all for the quantity,
The only places I have access to are hyperspace, and I tend to not do that very often :rolleyes: and I wish I had more time to meditate.

the obvious things;

-cut down on sugar
-cut down on cafeine
-cut down on saturated fats
-drink a lot of water
-eat fruit and vegetables every day
-excercise everyday
-go to bed on every night about the same time
-stop smoking

*go to the sauna now and then. sweating is a efficient method to loose "toxins" from the body

A statement about diets that really made me think (read it in some book):

"Everyone who is considering their diet/dietary needs for more than 15 minutes per day does have a serious eating disorder."

Don't think about it too much! If you really want to eat chocolate right now, then eat it. It won't kill you, and it won't make you fat. If you really dislike wholemeal bread, then don't eat it. Because if you don't like it, then it's your body signalling it's not good for you - no matter what some health gurus say. Where do you think they got their endless wisdom about what food is good for you and what not? I rather believe my own body.

And yes I do sports (some weightlifting like 3x a week), I don't smoke anymore and I rarely eat meat. When I do, I buy only organic meat - not so much for health reasons but because I don't want to support cruelty to animals. The meat I buy is from regional farmers who are members of an organic farmers alliance, they treat their animals well. This is good for my bodily health as well as my mental health, I think :)

ImTrippingStupid a dit:
I definitely see perfect health as a pure in mind, body & spirit concept.

Could you elaborate more? That was the point of my post :D

And tryptonaut - I used to believe that, but I'm not sure... People love mcdonalds no? Everyday they want mcdonalds. But, I suppose they have lost touch with their body, or maybe its just an addiction?

I also used to believe that until I realized what I was eating was cruelty to animals. I dislike that, and unfortunately I bought meat for the first time in 5 months last night (oh sigh) and not counting fish.

Bahhhhh why must we have empathy for animals? :)

I did. Then I blinded myself. I need to eat some sort of protein without guilt?! Beans and rice I guess....

You may want to add "- cut down on salt" as well.
