What is audio mastering? Audio mastering is the process of transferring a recorded audio track from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device, also known as master. This source can then be used for developing copies using duplication or pressing. Why audio mastering is essential? Audio mastering should be done on tracks to ensure professional sounding tracks. Mastering involves offering the tracks the finesse and the polish that only professional tracks have. By mastering the tracks, the following measures are achieved:

Hi statmar I think your grammar is a bit off but it is an important think that musicians gets their tracks mastered, there is a lot of psy music that gets made I have found that being someone who makes his own psy trance tracks that it is worth getting them mastered by a pro .Sometimes you just miss little things that mastering will find (clicks and glitches) and can make all the difference to the overall presentation, it's good to let an audio pro check the mix over so it sounds as good as can be on the different sound systems. Overall the tracks I produced are quite good in their own right but I feel online mastering give them that little extra boost.
