Synchronicity

I've been noticing this weird phenomenon: when I'm looking at a TV program and it's about a certain subject, the TV programs on the adjacent channels tend to be about the same subject or in some way meaningfully related. I first noticed it when I was sometimes trying to avoid the advertisements at Discovery Channel and National Geographic, but I thought these two channels did it on purpose, to make viewers choose. But lately I also started noticing it with channels that are not related in any way, sometimes two or three adjacent channels in a row. And I'm talking about obvious connections, things that are apparant in the first second(s) of watching the next channel. It's almost as if reality cannot really switch its content that quickly, and that therefore it takes a couple of channels before the subject matter significantly changes...

I remember my driving instructor describing how when he was on mushrooms he would flip through the channels of the TV, and that the story of one channel would continue on another. This is somewhat similar, though I'm not tripping, just stoned or sober. Anyone else noticed this? Or are you experiencing other types of synchronicity?
