Stinky prolonged mushroom problem- HELP&ADVICE NEEDED

I have huge problem! My attempts to grow mushroom has failed again. And this is not all!!! This has been my fifth try! What I am doing wrong!?!

FIRST I have soaked whole brown rice and powdered brown rice in distilled and pipe water.
Number one jar is whole rice&distilled water, second jar with grinder like gravel rice&pipe water, third whole&pipe water, fourth grinder&distilled.

THEN I have place mixture in jars. Mixture has been 2 to 2.5dcl of jar volume. One finger of empty space to the foil cover.

NOW I start to sterilize jars in pressure cooker (7-9liters volume). I put 2 liters of pipe water and turn flame on max. (I have oven with regulator from 1 to 6) First 10min on 6, then 40min on 3 and last 20-30min on 4.

OVER night I cooker cooled down on balcony.

THEN I have took 10ml syringe and scrub spores from print with sterilized needle into syringe which I have filled with 5ml of distilled water.
Then I shake syringe vigorously until all spores were more or less equally spread in the syringe.

MY ZIPPO flamed.I sterilize needle on the syringe. I inculated each jar with equal amount of spore water. Then I have placed another layer of foil over jars.

JARS FIRST 10 DAYS COLONIZE FINE. AND THEN SOME SLOWED A BIT. BUT THIS IS NOT MY TROUBLE!
AFTER 20 DAYS ONE JAR WERE BOUT 95% COLONIZED AND INSTEAD OF BIRTHDAY THEY START TO SMELL!!! EVEN TROUGH 2 LAYERS OF FOIL! SMELL WASN'T BAD, IT WAS SWEET BUT STRONG ODOR.

ONE MONTH AFTER I TAKE OUT CAKE FROM JAR. NO OTHER MOLDS OR SUCH!!! WHITE CAKE BUT LITTLE "PALE" WHITE.
BUT SMELL, ODOR, SO "EUGH"! ROOTING ODOR FROM VEGETABLES.

Does have anyone problem like this? Or advice what is wrong. Maybe old spores? Too weak?

HELP ME, GUYS.
 
No like glass-transparent! :) I mean that white silky-cotton matter which usually surrounds grain isn't full or like cream. Rice is only white like old white paint on 100 years old hospital! :roll:
I hate myself cause at beginning my shroom grow fine and fruited excellent. But last 5 times! DISASTER! :roll:
 
I take it that you are talking about P.Cubensis ? What method are you using to grow with ? I mean what recepie ? I need to see exactly what you have done , the quantitys of what to what ? Have you used any vermiculite , or something similar , in your mixtures ? When you put the foil over the top of them did you put it on tight ? They need to breath , so the foil should only be put on the top of them loosly . Next time dont put the preasure cooker out on the balkony , put it in the kitchen and cover it loosly with a damp cloth and let it cool slowly . The spores are often the weak point in growing , i used to put the whole spore print in a big syrynge and then suck distilled water up into it and shake like fuck . What temperature do the jars grow at ? If you havent already you could try looking in the net for the PF method . Its very easy to do and you could check if you have not got something right . Tell me exactly what you have done and i can probably help you .
 
GOD I have described my last attempt with mushrooms in first post.
I used Golden teacher, B+(I know that this are the most simple mushrooms to grow) and F+. F+ is mystery for me? Have you heard something bout them? OK, I could sniff over the Net but that info isn't sufficient enough.
I can't make true PF-tec cause I can't get vermiculite or perlit anywhere in Croatia! Weird! So I use PF-tek method but without water container catalyst (ver&perlit). What is more strange then all other? My first shroom grow attempt succeeded. And second, just as third one! But rest- SHIT WITH SMELL!!
You sad that I need to loose lids little and let them breath? I use foil, so what to do? And when? Cause if I lose lids to soon infection risk is too high! Jars are in closet, on various temperature. From 18-28 degrees.
I do not have something like incubator.
I SUSPECT that my rice after some time starts to ferment! This maybe is source of sweet but strong smell! :?: Please help me. Yesterday I inoculated three jars. One were open in cooker, second closed but lightly, third closed full. I used brown rice, whole grain.

ANY ADVICES? :!:
 
Alo Goran, potpuno ista stvar kao kod mene. Prva dva tjedna raslo ko korov i onda stop. Tek poslje oko 2 i pol mjeseca su bile tortice 98,99 posto kolonizirane. Žuta tvar- ja sam mislijo da bi mogla bit pišalina micelija al smrad koji nije bio baš smrad nego samo neki vrlo jak miris. Kad sam udahnuo u to, sam lagano bio ošamu
 
Guys will be angry cause you speak with our common language. Tell what you want to say on English and then say word more on "YUGOSLAVIAN" - "YUGA" language.

Is that smell similar to fermented rice or some grain? Imagine, you soak grains in water and then cook it on high temp. What can happen if cake doesn't develops fine?? :?: This reminds me to grape konjak, or fermented sugar!? :?:
And have you wait more then 6 weeks before first smell?
And some kind of yellow syrup!, looks like cake is sweating honey!?!? :!: :?:

That what has gone wrong is that you are loosing faith in the all ocultismic things about mushrooms and you only want to grow them, you need to have deeper purpouse for groeing mushrooms and that is when you are growing them for sharing love and peace. If you think only material to grow them and to get high forget about mushrooms and growing them becaouse there is no deeper reason then.

Why are you saying this bout my causes, or why I grow them, or at the end wrong causes!

Gogy, don't use second layer of foil, instead use layer of paper serviette, as micelium has to "breathe". It takes me 10-12 days to have my jars colonized. Also, try cooking your rice, and let it cool of steaming in a strainer. Then load your jars. This way, your grain will have optimum content of water, and kernel membrane will not be moist, which is good base for bacteria......

Perlite , vermiculite and similar things are available from garden centers for improving soil quality . You can try cat litter . Its usualy perlite or something similar . Another thing to try is fill material from building markets , it looks like the clay balls that are use for growing things hydrophonicaly on but its not brown its gray . Its also smaller . Look for things that are PH neutral . The perlite is there to help air , water and nutrients to get into the middle of your cake . If you dont use any filler the rice forms lumps and the cakes grow slower . The slower it grows the more chance you have of contamination . The amounts of ingredients in the PF method have been tried , tested and improved for more than 20 years .

If you can smell anything other than fresh mushrooms you have a problem . You said that it smells sweet ? , wich could mean that your substrate is composting . You also said something about myceleum that looks like mother of pearl ? Wich sounds to me like you have it too cold / to much water in the air / not enough ventilation = change your ventilation . The jars need to breath , there needs to be the posibility for gas exchange . ( are you talking about screw top jars with a lid on them with holes in it and then a piece of silver foile over the top ??? , or open jars with just a layer of foil over thetop ??? )

When you sterilise your jars the silver foil doesnt need to be put on tightly . Just put it over the top and fold the edges down but dont press them together . 1 layer is enough .

Try to get your lowest temperature up to 23c and check your ventilation . dont use rice flour and get yourself a filler .

I dont realy understand ???? If you mean that you had sterilised a jar and that it was open to the air , throw it away . You couldnt sterilise a closed jar because it would explode ????

Contamination = it wasnt sterile .

DO NOT DO THIS . You sterilise to sterilise , if you dont sterilise you get contamination .
 
You sterilize to sterilize, right. But you want to sterilize cooked, and cooled grain..... :roll:
 
What ever you do with the yellow shit,dont breath it. Before month and a half I thought it was mycelium piss and now i got some fucking fungal skin desease!!! The rash on my skin was on my hand for two weeks-red skin, getting better/white,red skin again, better again...yesterday i saw it on my fuckin face! I hope its only some light fungal infection, after all i dont live in amazon to get valley fever...i fucking hope
 
Almost forgot.GORAN- How is possible that there are few shroom suppliers in Croatia, if some guy i know, use to know someone in Zagreb, and he wasnt even interested in drugs, psichadelics? You should go out of Dubrava sometimes...Just kidding, dont be angry...

I think we could be missunderstanding each other ??? You said " try cooking your rice, and let it cool of steaming in a strainer. Then load your jars." .

The grain gets measured , put in a container and you add the right amount of water . Then you cover the container with a layer of silver foil and sterilise it . After that the container is never opened to the air untill it is fully grown through . So i dont understand when / why anyone could / should sieve wet grain and then fill it in jars ??? Could you please explain to me what you mean ???
 
It seems to me, mr. God, that we are talking of different teks here. Read carefully what i've wrote.....I've just wanted to help with different kind of tek that works for me. :roll:
 
Mushroom growing is mushroom growing . I have read what you said several times and can not understand what you mean and you still havent explained what you ment yet .

I dont want to do anything . You are talking about using an unsterile substrate . Please explain , or show me a tek that calls for using an unsterile substrate when growing P.Cubensis . If i misunderstand something please explain to me .
 
O.K. mr. God...Just for ya.....:


Rye, cook 20 min, cool down, mixin' in da strainer for bout 5 min. Hot rye is to loose unnecessary moisture while mixin' it.... let it breathe 10 min more...Pack it in da jars loose. Jars have screw lid with 4 mm puncture hole on, used for injection of spores, cotton wool included. Inject through da wool . Look how it grows. Case. Ok, mr. God?
