So I have made 3 jars of the vermiculite, flour and water mix... I injected them with the spores from a syringe. Kept them in a plastic box in a black bin bag and put it in a slightly warm cupboard. It's been about 12 days now and nothing seems to be happening in the jars. What could be wrong?

Now, when you say flour...... Do you mean store bought flower or say, home made Rice Flour?

Are the lids tight? Did you make holes in the lids? Is the rubber seal on the lids face down?

There prob isn't any airexchange.

Wait another 2 weeks .

It's Organic Rice Flour bought from a store.

The lids are tight, there are 2 small holes in the lids where I injected them. I put aluminium foil over the lids too.

There isn't a rubber seal on these jars.

Do what God said wait another 2 weeks. I would think if you don't see anything you didn't inoculate right/they weren't spores/substrate is wrong.
Personally I think it's infected and will only grow unwanted mold if anything.

How did you sterilise the jars? If a steamer, how long did you leave them before adding spores?

Tip them upside down, to redistribute the oxygen and CO2 concentrations and then wait,

peace & love

Not to long ago I tried the popcorn tek and all inoculated jars succumbed to mold. :( This was expected though because the syringe needle plugged up and I had to take tops off jars and drip spores in.
