hey all I found this cacti at Canadian Tire in the Garden Center, thought it looked suspiciously like san pedro so i picked it up and I was wondering if someone could take a look and let me know if it actually is pedro. Of course Im gonna repot it in a bigger clay pot and find a better spot for it than beside my computer but yeah any help with identification would be much appreciated

I'm not an expert by any means, but does look like pedro.

A little off topic:
Thats one pretty computer - I didn't know you could get lingerie for CPU's

Are all those fans functional or decoration?

oh theyre quite functional they do look pretty cool too tho haha yeah i just finished building that beast about a month and a half ago its a quad-core proc, 8800GT video card (kinda wish i had waited till the new 9800s came out tho) right now i have 2GB of ram but id like to get another 2, I know this is materialistic of me but i love my computer!

hmmm, your going to have to get a good cacti book with a key. many of the shop bought cacti are hybrids and your one doesnt look quite right to me. something to do with the spacing between the areoles. cacti identification is a science in itself. count the spines, number of ribs etc and use a key

THIS IS CACTI FROM ONE OF THIS SPECIES:
Astrophytum myriostigma
myrtillocactus geometrizan:THIS IS MOST LIKELY!!!! :!:

NO PSYDELIC EFFECT BUT PERFECT FOR GRAFTING!!
AND YOU HAVE BIG MAMA! 8) 5-9 YEARS CACTI NEEDS FOR SUCH SIZE!
:)
PEACE
LIGHT
BLESS

thanks for the help! so im guess myrtillocactus isnt a mescaline containing cacti?
