soo.. i have a question about Dexadrine

hey guys, i just had a quick question about dex, i have a perscription for this, and have had it for years. latly iv been feeling a little weirded out in the head, where im WAY over thinking things, and actually get worried over absolutly nothing. iv just taken half of my perscribed dose, and im feeling quite level headed. i stopped taking this because i thought it was making me crazy... am i just fucked in the head? and if so, is it because of dex?

So I'd never go without consulting a doctor, but I think if you feel better taking half they'd probably not go perscribing you more?
So maybe you cna just half your dose if it makes you feel better.

and honestly i'm not sure how wise it is to just stop taking it if you have been doing it every day, mainly because of withdrawal symptoms. (unless you have already stopped and are already past that) i would agree with druglessdouglas and silv on this one. probably better to check with the doc before you make your decision.

well.. iv never really had much problems with withdrawl symtoms, i always tell myself its all in my head, so quit bitching. but yeah, i am still perscribed to it. but i dont take it often. although when i go to school i use it. (my mind feels alot clearer in college) anyway, i figure imma stop thinking about it. that works a lot better.

My advise is to talk with your doctor, if you are on chronic medication it can cause problems when you stop immediatly. Maybe you should get a lower dose. i don't know if it's prescripted against narcolepsy or ADHD. If it's narcolepsy maybe you could try modafinil, this is not an amphetamine like ritalin. With ADHD the excact mechanism is not know but they believe it works because an increase of concentration. Every drug has it side effects, so what's worse the side effects or the effect if you don't take it all.

Dexedrine isn't Dextro-Amphetamine. Effects of speed species are quite different.

The use of all uppers too regulary = wack no matter or it's recreational or medical use. Amphetamines fuck the stomach, kidney, liver, heart, bones and veins if used for years.

On the contrary what most people believe habituation users are not lacking that much energy if they quit their use.

One very bad side effect after chronic use of uppers is that you're missing a lot of motivation impulses.

I'm not trying to be picky here, but if wikipedia is wrong (Which it can be), I'd be curious to know what dexedrine is, as I've tried it before (not recreationally) and actually quite got into the experience..

Haha! Didn't know that, I see Dexedrine is dextro-amphetamine just in pharamaceutical form.

I always thought that Dexedrine was something else since I only know dextro-amphetamine in pharm form as Adderal.

Adderal is a mix of different enantiomers and different salts of amphetamine.

my dose is 4X 5mg dex sulfate in the morning, then 2 at lunch. latly iv only been taking 2 in the morning, and i still have trouble sleeping at night...

i use it because i have some chronic add. to tell you the truth, it can be hard to keep a relationship because of this. either i overthink things, or just dont care enough about it. i know that something has fucked with my mind and emotions a bit, and perhaps this is the reason? (iv never smoked crack, or done meth) i smoke, and blaze. do ayahausca every few months or so, as well as Trichocereus cacti. oh, and mushrooms whenever i can actually find them.
