Snakes & jaguars

Along the same lines as the elf thread, if you've seen them, particularly on ayahuasca, details please.

I've only had caapi as yet, taken with cactus as an experiment. I don't think I'd bother again with this combo but it was all I had and it did enable some visuals.

What was remarkable was that it was just a light head trip but as soon as I put on some evocative, snakey music the caapi reared its head straight away. I became aware of a coiling sensation around my body, almost like a wind and when I closed my eyes there was a dark vision of a brightly coloured boa winding its way towards me, head on. Unfortunately I then slightly voided myself :lol: and had to get cleaned up and the headspace was lost.

I was reminded of another light trip I had once when I couldn't settle, the environment wasn't great being in the middle of a city but I stumbled into a quiet bar, got a beer and sat out the back. Over the stereo system they started playing trip-hop, Portishead and it was only then that everything came together. The music enabled me to tune in better and everything was great from then on.

So that's my tip anyway. If you want to see snakes on aya, try listening to snake charmer music, it certainly worked for me.

Wish there was some shroomy, elfin music! :wink:

I always see snakes or reptil like figures when i am on mushrooms. I still can't figure out why exactly. And it seems that many people do see them. I still think it is weird, that these metaphysical creatures do appear.

With the machine elves, many do say it has something to do with the expectations. But the first time i saw them, i never expected to see a snakes or reptile like creatures. I also had never read about it. Later on i discovered that, although there are enough people who never experience things like this, that there where quite some people who really did see them.

Why? I guess it remains a big Mystery

I always see snakes or reptil like figures when i am on mushrooms. I still can't figure out why exactly. And it seems that many people do see them. I still think it is weird, that these metaphysical creatures do appear.

While on DMT i see snakes and reptiles(CEV's). And I dont think its weird. For me it was like their souls are alive and so is mine so we kinda danced together.
It also felt like they where teaching me so i became to see them as teachers while others attacked me. I also dream about snakes and in my psychosis they play a huge role. Like they are symbolic creatures with a divine profound nature.
symbolism, divinity, nature all very normal on entheogens acourding to my believe and experience.

For me snakes are symbolic for transformation, souls, vibes as beings(or beings as vibes), nature, the diabolic, servers of chi(masters). and maybe more but i like these for now

I would like to share i transformed in a jaguar once and i also felt in touch with one. So this is besides a dream come true really really cool. 8)

Mckenna talked a lot about psychedelics as boundary dissolvers.
Psychedelics and shamanism dissolve boundary´s between ahuman and animal, life and death, male and female. Shamans are people who dissolve there own boundary,s , that´s how they can turn into animals talk to the death and so on.

I usually see snakes when I trip. It´s a very powerful symbol.
On ayahuasca I was attacked by snakes. A moment later I lay on a big cosmic serpent.
It reminded me of the god vishnu who also lays on a snake.
On yopo my body was made up by centipedes.
The centipedes crawled inside my body and there where all kind of demon like figures coming out of the fire.
On mushrooms I saw the snakes inside my blood.

Question for all -

So were the snakes interacting with you & making eye contact? Or were they just there in your vision like you were an onlooker, a pure observer?

I have had many experience were there snake was looking me in the eye and 'swimming' towards me eventually to consume me, where I would have an intense experience while inside the snake, having realizations on my life, only to be ejected out the back of the snake reborn. I have also had experiences where the snake consume me and I took on its consciousness. This has happened with the eagles as well

See I'm pretty sure something like that would've happened if my vision had continued, it was definately swimming at me.

This is where the "autosuggestion" theories put forward by rationalists or psychologists totally break down, for lack of a better word. People can have exactly the same type of experience happen to them independently without knowing anything about the specifics.
