Shrooms in the freezer

Does anyone know if it's possible to keep (store) fresh mushrooms in the freezer? I thought of this option cause selling shrooms will be illegal in The Netherlands in december......

Don't do this! When you take them out again, it will be a black pulp. Mushrooms can be kept by drying them very well, or making a tea and keeping it in the fridge.

Here's what you can do: before buying the shrooms, ask the smartshop owner when he usually receives a fresh batch. Order a large but fresh batch, and when they arrive, immediately take them home to dry. Once they are so dry that they don't bend but snap, put them in sealbags. Then put them in the freezer or hide them somewhere.

When handled as Caduceus mentions, I didn't notice degratation of potency up to a year (may be longer, never tried).
