Sex and spirituality

How many of you experienced something more than just sex- meaning beyond orgasms and self-pleasure, even if you are not romantically involved, or "in love" with the person? What is this higher power or feeling of connectedness with the universe and the person you're with?

As much as I've yet to have such an experience, it sounds like you feel SO connected... or perhaps ever ARE connected, on such a deep level that's normally not accessible. To me, it sounds absolutely beautiful!

 

[Abstrakt]

I've sort of been there. The person I was with at the time and I were each other's first loves, so to us, everything we did carried the weight of the world, and brought everything to a whole other level. Mechanically it wasn't very pleasing because hey, we still had no idea what we were doing, but our emotional attachment did bring an aspect of spirituality into the act.
