Hey folks at >>psychonaut.com<< I want to tell you a story about a different use of cannabis.
I have been participating at an ritual called SantaMariaCura. This is based on the ideas of the brasilian shamanguru Sebastiao Mela de Mota. In the 70ties he has been experimenting with the effects of cannabis and found this to be very connecting with the femine powers in existance (mother earth).
This connection can bring healing and curing if this is done in full consciousness and respect. When there is a lack of consciousness, and cannabis is used in settings of escapism and criminality it is able to show an less nurthering aspect of mother earth. It can bring us in contact with the flames of the earth under her surface. You could call it lava, underworld in mythologies it has been called the Hell or Kali or Lucifer..
His advice was to grow your cannabis yourself or to give and get it for free. If you buy it it will get you easily in contact with people and energies associated with corruption and criminality. And this will block the healing properties of cannabis. Further he adviced to use the cannabis as conscious as possible, not as habbit, or as symbol of rebellion. The way you can do that is to make it an ceremony or ritual, for example singing songs or to meditate in nature or having tantric sex (this last advice is mine not from Sebastiao :wink: ). He found it helpfull to give the cannabis the name Santa Maria to see the plant as doorway to the entity Maria, the old mother goddes who figurated in the story of the new testament as the mother of the newborn truth.
His dream is to cure the world of misunderstanding and confusion about reality as we see it today in relegions, politics, science, relationships and economics etc.
I had a vision (I did smoke Santa Maria) that if we are able to change the way we treath (use/abuse) cannabis (and other medicine plants like tabacco and mushrooms..) the world could really get a beautifull place in a short time..
Almost any market will atract criminal power and money addicts. And power addicts like to fight with other power addicts. This is the essence of every war. You can see this also in the cannabis market. The war on drugs is not about the substance but about power. Even in the Netherlands there is a possibility that cannabis will be illegal again because of this war. The mushroommarket at the moment has also problems. I hope there are some people with power that are not addicted to it and will share it. Educate people how to grow cannabis, mushrooms (selling growkits is a start), patatoes etc.. themselves and bring back the love and warmth in each others life,
