Sacred Weeds was a four part television series of 50 minute documentaries investigating
the cultural impact of psychoactive plants on a broad array of early civilizations.
Each one of the four episodes covers a different plant/mushroom . The host brings together
3 'professionals' and 2 people to test it on. The 2 volunteers agreed to being filmed and or
tested whilst under the influence of the 'drugs'
You can really tell the people who are uptight squares which volunteer compared to the ones
who have tried it before and like it or know what to expect. Especially the couple who agree
to eat the Blue Lilly, thought to have been used in Egyptian times for its psychoactive properties,
it was considered a Sacred plant
Its really interesting, and quite funny/cheesy in parts but they are all worth watching
