Greetings to the learned & experienced synth people on this forum
Although I have no chemistry training outside of high school, I have made good progress with the Dr Drool Synthesis of MDMA (thanks to Methyl-Man and Dr Drool). I have all the chemicals (not difficult to acquire in India ;-); the equipment and have become quite good at the lab techniques up to the sep funnel work trying to extract Ketone.
It's been a long road and has taken me over two years to gradually find everything I need. I also wasted time (and money) with the Bright Star sysnthesis beyond the Safrole extraction. I just could not get it to work.
With Dr Drool, everything has progressed well until now: the saturated NaCl wash of the Ketone solution. As expected, I have been getting a terrible emulsion on addition of saturated NaCl, even with slow rocking of the sep funnel. I just don't know what to do to achieve a separation.
Can anyone please suggest how I can progress beyond this step?
