Came across a website that suggested putting in a sliver of lemon peel in with your dried out weedstash to rejuvinate it and make it less harsh to smoke.

I dont smoke weed only cuz its illegal where I am but I do smoke salvia divinorum and I have a ready supply of harsh smoking dried out leaves of that lol sooo... figured I would try it.

Ill post a picture later maybe sooner then late but I took a chinese dinner plastic container with lid that is probably 95% air tight (has a good solid fit but its not tupperware thats for sure lol) and put a paper bowl inside of it that I cut down to fit to hold a good amount of the crushed leaves from my last batch. I put some in that were more intact too to get a random sampling of what would be in a normal collection.

I put the bowl with the leaves in the right hand side of the dish and on the left hand side I put the ends of four lemons. (When I make lemon water which I do almost every day I whack off the ends where its mostly peel and then quarter and squeeze the lemon into the container and toss the rest of the lemon in with it but this always leaves me with 8 'ends' of four lemons.

So I figured since the container is probably not 100% air tight and its slightly large I decided to put all 8 ends into the container and leave it sit as is for as long as I can see the lemons are not too dried out.

So far 5 hours later looking through the top which is clear thought spotty from a lame dishwasher lol the lemons have started to dry a little and the salvia doesnt look all that much different though it may not be something you can really see until its overboard.

I'll keep checking on it throughout the day. I have salvia diviniorum coming out my ass now cuz I got a fresh oz with my 5x and 20x purchase so I have a half ounce of old stuff thats doing nothing and it took me two years to smoke the first half of that ounce lol.

I might switch to straight 5x or 20x or whatever if that starts to do what I hope it does.

Will keep you informed and will post a pic later. I have it in my email just gotta convert it to a decent size for the web and upload it to my server.

Hope this works. Oh and I posted it in general cuz it could work for other plant materials too depending on the plant's characterstics.

Well I half forgot about it and ended up going for 12 hours. Considering it was an experimenet with surplus not really a problem. It seems to have worked though atleast in terms of rehydrating.

The salvia is very much no longer brittle. It bends now and does not crumble the way that it did when I put it in the container. So I am going to call this a success.

It hasnt gotten horribly mushy or anything so I am going to carry the experiment further and go take a nap and see how it goes in another few hours. Be interested to see how far I can push it before it seems to loose its usefullness.

Oh and for added experiment I took what I would call about a medium to small bowl full of the salvia and put it in a 2x2 ziplock for attempting to smoke later. I am not smoking anything until after I do my first 5x as I want my system clean but the bag is air tight (tested by trying to squeeze out the air that was left) so it should be in the same condition after.

I then put the lid back on and am going to let the rest 'ferment' hehe. Wonder if it will have nice lemony flavor when I smoke it lol.

As a final note I checked the rest of the sample just now and found it was actually getting slightly damp which I figured was a good time to stop so I put the rest of the batch in a 3x4 ziplock for use later. See how it goes in like a week after I do my 5x. So aparently it atleast rehydrates it. Question is does it smoke better/the same/what? Which I wont know till next week.
