Hey guys

I'm growing a few peyotes, and they are doing pretty wel (i think).
They are about 2 months old, nice round, and 5mm in diameter.

The strange thing is that 4 of the peyotes are green and 3 are red. :?
is this red color something normal? is it something to worry about?

I hope you can help me out.

thanx!

Can you upload a pic maybe?
so we can see whats the deal :)

it could be that they r recieving to much light, at 2 months old they r very sensative to light...do you have some type of shading so they r not recieving direct light from the sun....?

hmmm... yeah maybe thats it...

I'd put them behind the window on the south.
And we had some nice sunny days..

I placed a plastic bag against the window, so there's no direct sunlight anymore.

I hope it will help!

I use parachute paper, it is this stuff my mom uses for cooking, it has like a frosted coating, it works very well, what you should do it leave that over them, put a rubber band over it so it doesnt come off, and keep it on there until they are about 5 months old....then slowly get them used to the sun by taking it off for 2 hours a day when they r 5 months old...and eventually increasing the amount of time the shading is off until u can take it right off, mine was around 7 months old...i took it slow so they didnt get sunburnt...try that and the red will go away in a few days...

too much light !!! for sure
Buy some shade cloth
< or that plastic stuff they put under pavements etc to stop the roots growing

Oke guys

Thank you very much!

I hope i'm just in time to save my little friends!

i burn my little sometimes, even with 2x 35watt, give them some rest and they will pick up growing pretty soon!!!! :D

yah they wont die, unless u continue to expose them to excess light...just give them some rest from the harsh sun and they will be green again in no time :)

Man, I wouldn't know mate. But don't worry, the nature decides so it'll be good.

But what I do know is that the color Red and Peyote are going together WELL!
