Puntig Kaalkopje

Hello friends,
can anyone tell me when you will find the 'Psylocybe' aka 'het Puntig Kaalkopje' in nature in Belgium?
Nowadays it's still freezingly cold, so I guess you have to wait untill the temperture is kept above 5°C.
When did it appear for the first time, last year?
What are your experiences with searching them in the wild?

Don't know much about getting shrooms from the wild but I always thought that after the summer when it becomes colder (cold shock) and more rainy (dunking) you get shrooms. Perhaps there is also something like this in spring after the winter ?

We went searching for it last year in the northern part of Holland in september or october for Psilocybe semilanceata, (puntig kaalkopje).
We had the most succes in sheep paddy's where there were more sheep (I guess sheep also know what it does to them and that is why they behave strange sometimes )
We found enough for four people after 4 hours of searching with the four of us.. This was one of the best trips I ever had, we started around 1 in the afternoon and after eating a bit more around four we stayed tripping until 10 that evening.

This year we've been searching for Psilocybe subcubensis (gold tops) in Coffs Harbour (Australia) that was in cow paddy's, there were still cows running around (so I guess the cows are a bit ignorant )
Again we were lucky and found heaps, I must say we were searching with a local who knows where to find them...
Again it was awesome...

It is best to search after it has been raining, in Holland that's not really a problem but here in Australia it can be a bit of a problem when you try searching more inland. I've been searching more inland (Stanthorpe) and we found some mushrooms (not the magic ones) that were completely dried out..

I'd say just give it a try, picking mushrooms is a fun thing to do, especially on a sundaymorning/afternoon to walk off your hangover

does anyone know if there is some kind of poisonous mushroom in or around belgium that resembles the psilocybe semilanceata? or is this just a myth to scare off people in for a free trip?

Well in holland I believe there is only one really deadly mushroom and that is amanita panterina if I remember correctly. This resembles in no way the semilanceata. Not sure if this goes for Belgium as well.

De Amanita Pantherina is wel flink giftig, maar normaliter ga je er niet dood van. Tenzij je er meteen grote hoeveelheden van eet.

the season for holland is july until it starts to freeze.

I have been told that around oktober is the best time, but that goes for Holland, allthough Belgium isn't that far away

i've heart its best to look for "Het Puntig Kaalkopje" when its fall
and in belgium there arent many deadly mushrooms although there are a lot of mushrooms that can make you really sick that look like kaalkopjes

and how do you see the difference? do kaalkopjes have one specific characteristic so you can see immediately if they are kaalkopjes?

to begin with, type the name on goolge and see the pictures, lots of them. and see what they have in common.

het puntig kaalkopje heeft een puntje als hij wat ouder is op het hoetje, wat de bolling niet bol maakt, volgens mij hebben andere dit niet zoals deze het heeft, en de vorm van het hoedje en de riggel eronder ed zijn punten om goed op foto's te observeren. (als ik klinkklare onzin uitkraam, verbeter me alsjeblieft)
