In this part, Grof talks about the connection of individual psychedelic trips to the collective unconscious (such as images of wars and revolutions), the symbolism of birth trauma in state propaganda, artistic representations of perinatal matrices, collective astrological transits, the cold war and development of nuclear weapons, Nazism and other 'misguided' mystical impulses, mystical death and rebirth as a completion of the original birth process, the long term effects of psychedelics, and Ken Wilber's 'the Atman project'.
