In this fortnight's installment of psychonautica, Max Freakout talks about anxiety, its causes such as fear of insanity, and possible methods to overcome negative feelings such as inner-surrender, psychedelic abstinence, and acupuncture, and the ideas presented in author Eckhart Tolle's book 'The power of NOW'. Max also talks about the Amanita Muscaria mushroom, including a trip report of an intense, life-changing religious experience from an experienced user of the Amanita involving time-dilation, out-of-body experience, and a realisation of Jesus Christ as Amanita and the relevance of many biblical details to this mushroom. Max reads out information about picking Amanitas in the wild, poor quality amanitas purchased from smart-shops, this mushroom's toxicity (especially when eaten raw) and instructions for prepararing it for safe consumption, the representation of Amanita mushrooms in human form in religious art. Max talks about techniques for making the most out of a Salvia Divinorum trip, and some personal experience from Nat Bletter about the long-term effects of regular Salvia use with tolerance, also Max reads out some information from Nat about Datura, types that are native to the New World compared to types from other parts of the world such as Mandrake, and also Datura and Nutmeg use among U.S prison inmates. Max talks about the folkloric use of Mandrake including its relation to King Arthur and Merlin, and then gives a personal Salvia trip report involving splitting time-slices, and talks about bad quality Salvia extracts and the huge popularity of Salvia. Finally, Max reads out a Salvia trip report, involving merging with the floor, total amnesia, then talks about the 'voice' of Salvia and the effect of past trips on future trips.

What does it says "about the long-term effects of regular Salvia use with tolerance"?? I have difficulties in understanding english... thanks

i got an email from one person (who spoke about salvia himself on psychonautica #4) saying he used salvia daily for a long period, and became unable to have really strong experiences, the relevant part of the email is here:

I find that there's actually a huge tolerance or habituation to
salvia, not in the short term but over many months. I.e. I could use
it several times in one day getting to the same place, but now, 6 yrs
after first trying it, I can never get back anywhere near the same
place I used to get to when I first started trying it, even though I
try 10x now vs. 5x before and I sometimes don't use it for a year
between tries. Not sure where this long term tolerance comes from, but
it's very different from the short term habituation to other compounds.

King Arthur and Merlin are fantasy figures , they never existed . That and "Jesus Christ as Amanita" sounds like more of "The pharmacratic inquisition" mentaly confused bullshit . = Ignorant people using wierd theorys to prove that other wierd theorys are facts and then using those "facts" to prove other mentaly ill theorys . Its more lying bullshit on the same level as all the childish fantasy storys about astrology , chakras , druids and witches are . If one takes those storys apart , and uses the same level of proof that courts and scientists use , one sees that they have less than no substance .

PS. For those of you who are gulable / professionaly blind there is a new book coming soon from Jack Herer about drugs in the bible . He goes even further on the road to mental confusion , and intelectual disqualification , than John Allegro and then later , in the same way , Clark Heinrich . Basicaly they say that anything in the bible that could be seen , or interpreted as a phalus is a symbol and realy symbolises Amanitas . Herer says that every mention of trees , fruit , virgins , goats , dear , pyramids ............ blah , blah , blah is realy ment symbolicaly for Amanitas !!!!! He goes even further than Allegro and Heinrich on their quest to prove their theorys when they try to asociate everything red , brown , golden or white in the bible with Amanitas . Allegro said that when the bible talks about goats beeing sacrificed its a references to Amanita use because goat meat is red and when goats are slaughtered white tufts of goat hairs get in the wounds wich then look like the caps of Amanitas !!!!

I`m realy looking forwards to the book being released because it goes the same way as Allegro and Heinrich ad absurdum . It will cause waves in our scene and if the "normal" press takes it up like it did "The emperor wares no clothes" people will be forced to put the storys of those people together and will then either have to be honest/adult and see that their theorys are to a large part total bullshit or be publicaly laughed at .
