i have been smoking pot for almost a year and a half now..but let me stress on the fact that i have been doing it in moderation .also i have taken breaks during my college tests,my internship and a few other occasions too, approx on a day to day basis i must be smoking like one bowl in the bubbler between the two of us,me and my guy,i dont smoke cig's i dont drink..i want to knw if smoking pot now (i am 21)will creates any problems for me to concieve in the future ? i have read a few times and even my bf has researched a bit on it ..apparently it doesnot have much effect .they say that if its better to quit for a year or so before one plans to have a baby.please help me because if it does effect then i guess i will have to quit it.

Switch to vaporizing. The reproductive system is quite sensitive to damage from free radicals (present in smoke), so if you instead vaporize your pot and take a good anti-oxidant complex (vitamin E used to be known as the fertility vitamin) you'll be fine. It's good to start vaporizing before you get a child.

I had never heard of smoking pot to cause any conceiving problems in women. I have heard however, that Marijuana will lower your sperm count. I wouldn't imagine that it would cause very many problems as long as you aren't doing drugs while pregnant.

^second that

I actually heard that it increases your sperm count; I can back this up by telling you to watch "Super High Me", great documentary. My dealer actually had a kid and the doctors know he is a pot baby; he's 9 months old and he is already walking, saying "Dadda!", he recognizes friends and family, he is very happy most of the time, and doctors are absolutely astounded.

Tree'd.

I must look this up, but a couple of days I read about a study showed that the children of mothers who smoked cannabis during their pregnancy had higher scores in several areas. I think I read it on cannaclopedia.be, which is in Dutch, so I may have to google a bit to find an English reference. I have no time right now, but the information is there if you're interested.
