Tallest ones are about 6 cm. Want to be sure. Temp was around 7 degrees Celsius at night (12-15 at daytime) when they started growing on woodchips. It has been raining for a few days.

There are about 70 more pins coming up besides the 30 mushrooms that have already grown.

They are probably not azurescens... They don't bruise blue (but brown) and are a bit too yellow...

Any help here on how to prevent these from taking over the pieces of wood instead of ps. azurescens? Should I do everything inside and wait until it is fully colonized before planting?

I do not believe they are azurescens. That type of mushroom grows everywhere around here in huge clusters. Where about do you live? You should see if Psilocybin Cyanescens grow around you. They are everywhere around here. Every place you look that supports growth, there is a patch.

peace & love

I asked because they came up right next to a bed of azurescens mycelium a friend of mine planted.

i think they are probably Honey fungus (Armillaria mellea) though im not 100% as they are in my opinion the most variable fungus around. google Armillaria mellea and see what you think

I doubt they're azur

They should still stain blue and have reasonably white stems

They look more like one of the evil impersonators. Perhaps not poisonous, but not what you're after I expect

They're probably living off the media in the psilocybe patch

I have an azur print, but it's all dirty and they're not the easiest to grow. I want to though, regular psilocybe has been seeming kind of mediocre :D
