Outside growing

Is it difficult to grow mushrooms outside, if I put the mycelium on a forest floor will they grow well?

I think its fairly easy if you start from spawn. Making this spawn might be a bit more difficult, think you will have to work with Agar then.

there are some kind of shrooms that grow best outside, dont know wat kind it is. you can even buy spore/spawn bags that you only have to mix with wood chips

I once read from someone who claimed that after an indoor growbox is done you can put it outside in the shade of some trees and the mycelium will start growing again. Maybe doesn't work 100% but I want to try it (as soon as I find a nice place in nature to put the mycelium)

growing shrooms outdoors is only fdor advanced mushgrowers though, you might wanna start indoors.

Y even bother to cultivate ur own mushies outdoors? U can find the Psilocybe Semilanceata growing everywhere! Especially in cow shit!! Happy hunting!!!

The woodlovers, cyanescens (sp) grow perfect in colder climates. When I lived in France, I used to bury my old cubensis cakes and they grew very well outside there as long as I kept the spot outside shaded and moist. Quality of the shrooms outside was very different. They where very strong (the flesh, potency I didnt notifce a difference) and much harder to the touch than the ones grown outside.

Colect one garbage bag full of how to say on eng.-when you sawing dry tree there will be leftovers of little peaces of that wood.Mix it with straw,corn,and dig hole about 40cm deep and 2*2 wide.put half of yours mixture from garb bag and then place micelium nicely.cover 2-3 miceliums that are over with fruthing and cover it with steamed-sterilisied vermiculite.Than put rest of mix of straw,wood peaces,corn-everything organic.And the last but the most important thing is cow shit on top.Cow shit will start decomposition and higer temperature will be result+food for shrooms-many of psilocibe in nature grow on cow or horse shit.Last thing cover with leafes-dry of course.If you do this in next one to one and half mounths you will at late summer get the most powerfull and big shrooms-When they are grown outside little one you get from pf tec will be 3 thimes larger-I have tryed this last year-and what is great-every year new ones couple times trought year-6,7flushes-you whant belive. 8)
