This is really neat but takes a moment to explain. Basically, if you stare at the centre of this video for 30 seconds to a minute (a minute is optimal i think) then look away from the computer screen, you will see textures and shapes swirling and distorting as if you are on psychedelics. The effect lasts about 20-30 seconds. No, you won't hallucinate, but you will see what resembles basic open eyed visuals.

It is an actually well-known visual phenomenon called motion after-effect. When your visual cortex sees constant motion it triggers certain neurons and they keep firing after the movement has actually ceased. This is just designed to really demonstrate the effect to the extreme.

Been watching this at the office all day, it is now permanently affixed to my mailbox whenever i need a psychedelic pick-me-up!

OMG, visuals just like LSD! Try banning this, DEA!

(warning contains cheesy music, although it syncs to the patterns)

it is similar, yes, but i have had stronger visual distortions. one blotter is enough for me to have two or three times more than that.
anyway, nice stuff!

LSD can be far more overwhelming, lol.

i saw a film, Thai, tartan films but i cant remember the name. opening scene the camera is descending a spiral staircas for what seems like a long time then it cuts to another scene and everythings swirling, only it isnt its a similar optical efect made everyone go WHOOO! and sit up

Aaaaaaaaaaah, fucking gabber......

Nice these kind of visual stimuli, BUT it's only 0,00000000001% as cool as LSD visuals...

its like trying to explain the ocean by saying- see this cup of water....

Yeah, or trying to put a trip into words

How long before the elves start to popup?

Well, not within 45 minutes...

Yeah an apt analogy.. reminds me of how after my first trip on lsd i guess about 2 years ago.. a few days later it came up in a conversation with someone who had never done psychedelics before, and the first question was what the "hallucinations" were like. Complexities of explaining this aside I didn't know how to answer.. the visuals were mesmerizing and all, but what had left the biggest impression on me certainly wasn't the visuals :D

Well, this was proper fun though!
One of the best ones out there!
edit:
btw, this happens pretty fast!
I didnt get something quite like this on my acid trips....was actually way to different!

Hehe, that's a really cool one. I already knew about a picture where you need to look at for 30 seconds and after that you need to flicker with your eyes and that you will see a visual of jezus christ :P

But this one is not that crazy as the one on neave.com.

Yes!
I used this vid on youtube before. :)

I show it to friends and family :+

The stronger trips I did, the less intense I seemed to see visuals. I mean they were still there, but that just wasn't the point. When your whole thought system is disintegrating, the wobbling walls aren't that much of a problem in comparison ;)

However I rarely did have some really intense cev when coming up on mushrooms that I wouldn't want to miss for my life! Heavenly glowing ever changing diamonds would just start to scratch the surface of what I've seen there. Too much too fast even to comprehend in the first place, let alone describe later...

absolutely! when all my senses are completely fused into a single band of information, time is granulating to a halt and I am moving through different perceived realities the visuals are one very small part of the .. whole

LOL, you can build up a tolerance with this, did it 3rd times in a row and the first time was definitely much more noticeable.

You can also close your eyes and have CEV's but the patterns have no colors at all.

Btw, anyone tried this yet while tripping balls? Perhaps it'll boost the visuals which you already have on LSD?

Yeah, when you close your eyes you just see the neurons firing basically, for me I see sort of a glowing swirly ball for about 10-15 seconds. Not at all psychedelic, but I think it is interesting as it demonstrates one of the effects that psychedelics have on the visual cortex.. also I found that I didn't really build up a tolerance to it. The longer you look, the longer the effect lasts (up to about 1 min max)

And yes, I've tried it on psychedelics.. no noticeable change and I found myself tripping out on the video more than anything else :P
