This is really neat but takes a moment to explain. Basically, if you stare at the centre of this video for 30 seconds to a minute (a minute is optimal i think) then look away from the computer screen, you will see textures and shapes swirling and distorting as if you are on psychedelics. The effect lasts about 20-30 seconds. No, you won't hallucinate, but you will see what resembles basic open eyed visuals.
It is an actually well-known visual phenomenon called motion after-effect. When your visual cortex sees constant motion it triggers certain neurons and they keep firing after the movement has actually ceased. This is just designed to really demonstrate the effect to the extreme.
Been watching this at the office all day, it is now permanently affixed to my mailbox whenever i need a psychedelic pick-me-up!
OMG, visuals just like LSD! Try banning this, DEA!

(warning contains cheesy music, although it syncs to the patterns)
