Mushrooms in Costa Rica

Anyone have any information on what species might exist here? Pictures of such species?

Psilocybe Cubensis !!!!! Growing out of cow shit , especialy after it rains !!!!!

I haven't found any cowshit. I live on campus, and I can't leave easily... I'll try tomorrow.

But do you have any others that would exist? I've found four different types of mushrooms here, and I don't really know what's what.

There are so many types of mushrooms and the big majority of them, are not known to contain psilocybin. If I lived/moved there, one of the first things I would do is buy a local mushroom guide and learn the different ones you have growing there. I would also check the guide and internet for psychoactive one and learn to recognize them before I go out looking for them.

If you look in your university library you should find local information . Also find information about identifying poisonous mushrooms , and never touch anything that you are not certain of . If you do and get your fingers in your mouth you could get serious problems .

I haven't been out looking for mushrooms yet, I've just been taking walks to see the majesties of nature here in Costa Rica. That I've found grand colonies of mushrooms is just a coincidence.

Anyhow, I guess I'll try and find a guide to mushroom life here in Costa Rica. Are there any on the Internet you'd like to recommend?

I did that a few hours ago, actually. There's on of the Talamasca mountains, but that's nowhere near me... I'll just go to the library here and see what I find.

Oh. Drug capital here is Tamarindo, though they mostly only deal in weed and coke.

Apparently, my friends that aren't boarders say that mushrooms can be found very easily (psilocybe cubenisis), due to the high cow to human ratio (XD). Um, a few friends tried to trip acid, but it didn't work for them, so I wouldn't recommend you buy any. (I've only been here two weeks, and I already know so much shit.)
