Ok, so I am currently doing an a/b extraction on roughly 20cm cactus, I have another 20cm cactus I was going to dry out and than do another a/b extraction on. My problem is, the cactus is sitting in my room and is starting to appear to mold. Over the past couple of days there is a goey liquid sitting underneath the cactus after 12 hours of sitting, now on bottom end there is white moldy looking spots on it, not like white drying spots. Help please? Should I just cut off the spots and do an extraction before mold gets any worse? Thanks!!

ive had the same problem in the past. build a dessicator from an icecream/similar containor.place silica gel or salt(table) in the bottom. cut the cacti small to speed things up.close the whole lot up. caustic soda NaOH is an excellent dying agent but very dangerous or calcium chloride available from chemist shops (drug stores). try not to drop the box! the white mold shouldnt do you too much harm, though. it may even improve the taste!
