More Honey Oil Topics

So I just made Honey Oil for the second time last night and it's beautiful! Took me about 5 minutes to find some PVC pipe/end caps in my garage, and about 45 seconds to drill holes in the end. The hardest part is waiting for the butane to evaporate.

Anyways, I've been saving my weed that I've been using to make the oil, how many times do you think hash could be made by running another bottle of butane threw the extractor?
And most importantly, the first time I smoked hash was about a week ago and after several different methods I couldn't find one I really liked. I've just been scraping it on to rolling papers and tossing the paper on top of some weed in a pipe, surely there has to be a better way?
How does everyone else smoke there hash?

I had one more question, I noticed that using coffee filter and paper towels collect a lot of the oil. I have several 'smoking screens' those would work better than something that catches some of the oil right?

Hey mate,

I’ve found that you can do about 3 flushes of butane with one batch of cannabis.
Although sometimes it only takes two, that’s if the material has lesser potency.

Get an old t-shirt and cut out a circle; use that as your filter rather than a wire mesh or coffee-filters. One filters too little, the other too much.

Put a small amount of hot water in your Pyrex tray before filling it with butane.
After you have done your flush, put the tray in another, filled with even hotter water. Both of these things help the evaporation time.

The method I’ve been using to smoke it is with a bubble vaporiser.
You can buy these from head shops or tobacco stores for pretty cheap.
Or you can make one yourself from a light bulb and a straw.

Just use a razorblade to scrape up a small amount of oil, then transfer the oil from the razor to the tip of a skewer or rod, then place the small glob of oil into the vaporiser, or alternatively onto any glass or metal surface (although you’ll need a funnel to catch the vapour as it rises from the oil when doing this).

A very small amount gets me pretty beamed, but I like to go back for seconds, then maybe some desert; that’s if I can move by this stage.

Anyway, just play around with it and figure out which method of ingestion works best for you. I’m doing some baking with oil soon, should be pretty fun.
