Moral question about using datura on others.

I've always had whisping dreams of dropping huge amounts of LSD in the coffee cup of the extremely unaware. By the unaware I mean the people who drive a hummer, the people who litter huge bags of garbage, the people who want to be a doctor just for the status, people who segregate by race, etc...

I was biking through an alley the other day and I am about 95% positive I found a datura plant. Datura is a very easy to grow plant, basically a weed - especially tended to indoors.

So the thought came to me, man. I could go to all those frat parties and drop a slight trip amount into some toolbag's mixed drink and laugh my ass off the rest of the night, or try to convince him how unaware of reality he truly is. Either way, this is an extremely heavy and probably wrong thing to do, especially using datura. Not only would I have to be extremely careful about quantities, this shit is not like LSD - I've never tried it - it's more delusional than introspective.

I think it is part of being young, you want to do crazy, radical things to make an impact/effect/change. I think that these ideas will leave you as you age, you'll "go with the flow". I have these impulses ALL the time, and they get far more violent than this, but I won't go there. That's why I need a goddamn trip! Society has aged me ugly this way and I need a fresh perspective.

Personally, and I know many people here will have opposite opinions, I say do it. Those fuckers deserve a life lesson or obscure punishment, I'm fine with either result and Datura will deal it out!

ok that analogy is a tad too drastic in comparison with the people you are talking about


but honestly, I can't help the thought appealing to me as well. it's just that I think it wouldn't help a bit. people would be shit scared most probably, and the media will report psycho-drug-terrorists which will make things much worse.

with psychonautism, it's not about the lsd, it's about the willingness to open your eyes/make a change.
the overall consciousness-level of all of humanity seems to rise, no need to scare people, let it happen of itself, that's the game

I spent 3 years of my life trying to put the peices together. Do you know where I'd be without psychodelics? An alcoholic, a pot head, a couch potatoe, a fat ass playing WoW, you name it. I wouldn't have given too much though about anything.

Either that, or I would have developed schizophrenia and committed suicide.

Either way, taking a surprise turn in my life turned out for the better.

As a moral question, obviously this is morally VERY wrong. Not only that, it's a very weak thing to do. It's sort of passive aggressive and cowardly, still it's something I love to think about doing. You're right BananaPancake, it wouldn't help anything in the end, but I think it's not a stretch to say that nothing helps anything in the end.

I can't really be angry at people anymore, since I realized that some just don't see, or don't want to. I can't force them to their luck, but give them a pointer when I think it's appropriate.

exactly. it's like putting a magnifying glass in front of somebodies face. you can't just see rainbows everywhere, you see only what is before you(in their case, shit. really close up.) if they aren't told what to use it for/how to use it, or if they dont want to use it at all, they'll do all they can to push it aside/ignore. however, if they by some means came to learn what it was for in the first place, then they would be crowding around it throwing money at you all day.

it's gotta be layed out in laymans terms to appear appealing, or they just wont get the message no matter how loud it is

I was relating the unexpected trip in question to an arbitrary NDE in profundity and effect. Datura is out of question though, as I don't think delirium is comparable to NDEs where psychedelics are. So without the individual's knowledge of being dosed with a psychedelic, preferably DMT (as they have been compared before), the effect may be the same or similar to an NDE.
