One of the best ways to broaden your horizon is by learning new things. I am always on the look out for new information and new practical videos about interesting subjects. A few of my favourites (most are available on torrents):

Anything by TTC. They have university level video courses on a wide variety of subjects, from philosophy to religion to economics to biology and physics.

I really like a lot of the BBC documentary series, like Earth Story or historical documentaries on art, war, science.

Another great series is Krishnamurti on PBS. It is from 1974 and has 18 one hour episodes in which almost everything is discussed. It has taught me a lot (I used to dub some ambient under it and space out on the wisdom, just like I did with most of the available recordings of Alan Watts :D ) and I recommend it to anyone with an interest in spirituality.

What are your favourite sources of information?

Great topic!

I am now watching a dvd series called Beyond Belief - Enlightenment 2.0, which is basically about a renewal of the Enlightenment era in the Western philosophical tradition and there are a lot of interesting speakers (Daniel Dennett among others).

Most of the TTC videos are really good indeed, I prefer the more philosophical ones.

I also like the Qi Gong videos Mr. Smith is sending me, as well as other Qi Gong or Martial Arts videos.

I got a good source for a lot of interesting videos, a private torrent tracker (which means stuff is always well seeded and people don't just download and run, so a lot of it stays on it for a long time), if anyone wants to access it, I've got a couple of invites, so pm me if you're interested.

I'll send you a pm, sounds like an interesting place!

Wow! Thanks for the invite, that place has got quite the collection.

I have been reading alot of the for dummies books which have given me a really good grasp of stocks and basic chemistry.
I tried to do physics as well but after having to do 3000 calculations in one equation my mind got blurred (ill try again later).
I have got a lot of quantum theory down me from sites like sciencedaily.com/
and Planet Earth or anything by David Attenborough is usually brilliant.

braha_kahn a dit:
I used to be a big fan of www.mvgroup.org but the content isn't updated a lot unfortunatly :(

invite? :ninja:

Yeah, mvgroup has a lot of nice documentaries.

I can send you an invite to the site I was talking about, content is a bit different than mvgroup, but I think it is one of the nicest selections out there. It hasn't got all the junk in between the goodies like demonoid, and almost everything is worth downloading and seeding.

Is the email address in your profile valid?

Whoa! Nice link!
