that has got to be one of the coolest things i have ever seen!!! i wish i had the right weather to grow that in my back lawn, if i had a back lawn or a front lawn for that matter.
The San Pedros are really cool. I heard that in dry areas (Southwest of the US or Mexico) they are often used as hedges around people's backyards (like people in middle-Europe plant shrubs around their backyards). In the desert areas the San Pedro grow so fast and multiply so much that they're almost like weeds - they grow everywhere.
On the other hand my San Pedros didn't grow at all for the last few months because we had so little sun this winter
One of them got a little too much water during that time and started growing thin at the top. Dammit I need more sun!!!
dont water your cacti during the winter! you will force them to grow and thus getting thin.
and yes, i have also heard about people using san pedro as a hedge, i would like to have one of those
im not too sure about it, i have been wondering myself..
i dont know what the san pedro 'thinks' is winter. in theory a light thats on for 18 hours a day should let your san pedro grow.. but perhaps they 'need' the winterstop or something.
