French gypsy-ska or something. Very incredible, half Guérilla Poubelle, half Gogol Bordello.
That and tons of other small punk/rock/ska/oi!/whatever bands, at Propagande.org!
Oh and may I recommend the Finest of French Punk Rock (from the eighties up until their latest albums, which half-suck half-amaze), Bérurier Noir!. Great texts, minimalist sound at times but always very powerful.
I haven't listened to that music for a while... It may be a little too trashy for your trance-ambient loving ears :wink:.
