Is my growbox ok ?

Hi together,

I'm just wondering if my cubensis growbox is ok or might be infected or something like this.

Unfortunately I haven't got a photo at the moment.

It's been 10 days now since I put it into a plastic bucket in around 1 1/2 cm of previously boiled water and put a plastic foil with a few open square centimeters on it and sprayed it a bit with previously boiled water as well. Can't think of anything I could have done wrong. Always washed my hands and stuff.

Now since a few days at one border of the box a lot of shrooms started growing. But only at the border. In the middle of the box there are only a few and they're quite small. And I found a few little shrooms with open heads which won't close. They're around 2 cm long now and they got something like a hole in their heads and you can see the lamellas inside.

The head of the biggest of them (around 3cm long) even kinda ripped open on two sides and looks quite destroyed.

But like I said, at the moment only 5 of them look like this. Many others look totally ok.

Do you think my growbox is ok ? Should I sort out the weird ones with the open heads when harvesting ? And what can I do to have some more shrooms grow on the other sides and in the middle of the box ?

Sounds like a lack of humidity..try to mist the inside of the box with distilled water and a couple drops of h2o2..also cover up the top a little more so the moisture doesn't escape (you can even cover the entire top, and just mist the box a couple of days).

Only harvest when they're ready to be harvested..and harvest them all at once.
