Is anyone able to explore other realms of the mind without the use of psychoactive substances? I've noticed that when I fast, and close my eyes while laying down, I'm able to see colors, usually green and purple waves in the midst of darkness. I'm also able to see patterns and shapes from time to time. Although my views are not vivid, I know it's not my imagination.

Would this somehow relate to meditation, or yoga?

Look in the meditation thread - I started a thread called "Uncontrolled images" maybe someone moved it

Maybe I'm weird, but I've always been able to do this. Generating CEVs for me is about closing my eyes, being very quiet, and listening very carefully.

not weird. there are many names for it which is why it may seem uncommon to some. depends on the terms one uses to look.

fasting can intensify this experience, however, it is available all of the time.

Same for me. The places I'm able to go to are quite intense, sometimes I have to open my eyes just so I could reassure myself that I'm still in physical reality.

And so does being sleepy. When I'm tired, the visuals increase 16fold.

One thing I'm trying to conquer is extended fasting, I'm barely able to do it for more than 24 hours with water, it's hard for me. Any tips?

Why do you want to fast?

I noticed I'm able to think clearer, and focus on certain task better without food.

i don't know much about fasting, other than to say be careful. this extended fasting that you mention should only be done when your electrolytes and vatmins and minerals are at relatively balanced levels. and even so, simply urinating can throw these levels off greatly in just an afternoons time. if you're doing this on a daily basis, i would obviously advise against it. keep in mind, even the religions that include a long period of fasting still eat a meal every day. to not do so could prove foolish. idk, like i said, im not an expert, and i don't know your habits, so all i can say really is be careful... would you care to elaborate on your fasting habits?
