Is it worth fighting, or easier to leave the sickness to the sick?

It reminds me of Lord of the Rings, when Merry is trying to convince the Ents to fight for Middle Earth. Telling them that if they don't fight it, the war will spread and destroy their land too. I think maybe life is too short to fight such a losing battle, better to do what you love to do, away from that mess.

Any thoughts?

I got to say, I agree with you but for different reasons. I honestly don't think any system will make humans truly happy. Whether it's socialism, fascism, marxism, capitalism, anarchy, or even some sort of tribal way of life. If a person is surrounded by bad (doesn't matter under what kind of system), they will be unhappy and/or bad. I think the key is to try to build yourself back up, even in such broken times. And then your family, and then your friends, and then your neighbor. As with many things, it's one step at a time.

When i was 8 years old or so, i read a comic book about The Smurfs (those blue creatures who live in mushrooms).
The story is so fascinating and true,
the title is called De Geldsmurf (= the Money Smurf).
short introduction to the smurfs : The smurfs live in their town in the forrest, and all have their own job. When the farmersmurf wants a bread, he just goes to the bakkery and get's a bread, he don't have to pay, he don't have to give anything in return.. they all live like one big family, sharing every thing. The only "leader" they have is the Great Smurf, who is the oldest and wisest one, it's more like a dad of the family than a real leader.

now the story: Everything goes well in smurfs' town, until the day that one of the smurfs have to go to the Human world. He there meets the phenomona called money, and concludes it would be a good idea to introduce money in smurfs town.
So, he does that, and in the beginning, the smurfs support the idea. But later on, Smurfs begin feeling unhappy, they live in competition with each other, rather than live as a community. Some smurfs, who didn't have a job didn't have anything to eat, etc.

This post is kinda off-topic, but i really had to tell this.
I think all 10-year old kids must read this book, so they can support the utopic idea of a community-based world.

After all, we're not smurfs, maybe every system is doomed to fuck for us, humans. Capitalism surely is, but communism is too, and anarchism also.. It's not the system itself that causes the problems, it's some very small group off people who fuck it for all.
U also talk about a tribal way of life; probably that tribal way wouldn't stand long, as there's cultural evoltion, so it would take some 1000 years till we're at this point of technology again, and say it 's fucked again. And, also, i don't think living in such an ethnic group wold really be fun.. Diseases, famine and deads are very common. They have very cruel rules..

conclusion: the only good system is a sound system

1) take a dollar bill or whatever bill.
2) burn it.

so thats one of many possible campaigns you might be starting. to clear it up a bit: it's really a global issue and when you face it, be aware you'd be facing to some extent the globe itself or rather global established structure-like establishments.
capitalism in some parts of the world is strong, but so is the hand that fights it. and so it has to be. strong hands form from strong plans, which's seeds sprout and blossom with the awakening of clouded mind-fields. the clouds just carry the water that is needed in order to catalyze change and they also are supposed to make way for light that has to shine thru. however at times it'd appear they could be the carriers of a great, shocking, deadly energy-force, as well....
what do we learn from that?? resistance is futile in the evermore-attempts of chaos to defeat order, or at least any uncalled for ultimate supposed representations of such a thing, shall be crushed into pieces or be stomped down like a pancake, whatever is in the moment appearing to be more of a suitable choice in the matter.
i dunno. fight the undead with the right weapons. or how was it you wanted to kill that -ism???
yet anyway i might be subscribing to the doing-what-i-love-thingi instead.... :D

ahahahhahaha lol thanks the last post made my day really!!!!!!! the smurfs are too awesome really!!! maybe our mistake in the first place was to grow bigger than the ""until then big shroomies"", for they wouldn't be able to protect us as well as they might have been doing before that.

peace :weedman:

I've thought about this...

I don't like capitalism, but I like monetary units.

I don't like banking.

Money is OK. It's easy to trade, and it represents something. Investing, interest rates, loans, credit cards, margin buying, money from money, greed, money from death, money from nothing; these I hate. I disdain, I loathe.

How to kill capitalism? Don't take out a loan, don't use a credit card. Don't buy from companys that have huge profits. It's really easy to kill capitalism, but most people don't want to or don't care... or simply don't know.

Seriously, just don't do anything with interest rates, buy the cheapest items or buy from the smallest companies.

We shouldn't see MONEY as bad, we should see business practices and the people who work solely for money as bad.

There are many tools at our disposal, however Corporate America and the US Government have the country divided. They do it intentionally. Why do you think the Governor of Virginia made the month of April Confederate appreciation month? He new damn well it would create a shit storm. He pulled a GW Bush, who learned it from his dad who lead the CIA.

Anyway, nothing will happen until people put aside their racism and distrust. I think the human race is a lost cause myself and just keep smoking bowls until I keel over.

Here is a film that addresses this topic. It has a great soundtrack.

That is so ironic.

Nanacapilli, I'd kinda like to know what changes you would make!
Since Capitalism is now and I'm only starting to lean the others fascism, marxism, anarchy (thanks darkwolfunseen)
and I don't think it's possible to change anything completly overnight, but what are things that you belive need changing?

Oke well, there are possibilities actually!

IJC was thinking in the right direction IMHO...
It's the smallest things that count the most. Really...

Buy from small stores is one thing like mentioned;
the problem with that;
is where groceries get bought by ALL stores.
Because that still is where the money goes. Top of the chain,
and that's what you need to hit.

Aslong as there is a demand for certain things;
people will make profit from it by regulating it.
The top of the chain. The bastards :)

Some viable solutions to take their power away could be:

Grow your own food. It's easy.
Make you own oils to cook. Easy.
Reduce electrical consumption. Easy enough. Use gas when possible.
Drive bio-diesel; you can make it yourself. Not that hard.
If it is possible; make your own drinks. Not that hard.
Buy second hand whenever possible! Easy.

Obviously; clothes and such will be a problem. At first...

Why the new cell phones all the time?

I also can't see the problem with second hand pc's for most either?
Why someone need a new pc for emailing and surfing? No need for that.
Dennis has like 4 old ass pc's serving as servers...
He started his own business on a pc from 94 when it was 2003 ^_-

New cars? why?
It must take one from A to B, nothing else.
Preferably as cheap as possible for most.
Buy a second hand diesel; tinker; E presto. Ready for home brew diesel.

Don't buy medicine if you don't need to. Need aspirin? Find a willow tree.
Look up how other simple medicine get's made.
Make it yourself. Easy.

Get a satelite dish, don't pay for cable that only feeds you mind warping commercials. Easy.

Then when someone is good at making oils; why not trade a barrel for something you can deliver? Easy.

Who needs the goddamn money that a government hands out;
to get it partially back via everything you purchase?
It's just rediculous, honestly :)

Plenty of room to sting a few governments there.
Watch it all crumble to bits slowly when enough people start doing this...
Something like this can't be pulled of with just a few 100 people obviously.

But anyone should see that
Global enslavement already exists.

The thing is:
people are so fucking retarded;
they even believe a lighbulb which burns forever can't be made.
So, do the math...

They control everything, even how often YOU have to buy something (new).

i'm happy to just stay off this thread, i'm cool just reading it.

Any thoughts?

a few: (sorry if my opinion reads harsh) your post smells like apathy and negativity. you cant make an unbiased judgement when you see the situation as strictly a "losing battle".
why is it a losing battle? does cooperation not play into this? two to tango...
human minds are made to learn, so why dont we teach people about this? have you not thought of alternatives? i can think of many. yes i too am somewhat apathetic too i suppose, too many ideas to act on them all, but you can make ALL the difference with even the little things. in fact, that's where the biggest differences can be made, because most can afford to make a few small changes. drastic action is not necessary yet, but action itself definitely is. (after all, they did it to us.) slowly, crept in, with things like, yes, interest rates. they seem small at first. but oh no, they'll get bigger. believe that.

ijc, you said:
"buy the cheapest items or buy from the smallest companies."

i think that this is good advice, only that we should consider that this often becomes a contradiction, as with some companies (small and/or new), they MUST offer something competitive, and a lot of the time this can't be sustained due to the companies small foundation (basically, starting money)

Fighting Capitalism is like fighting Religion! An Endless Battle though the course of time.
Capitalism Represents Human Nature "GREED"
Greed = Human Ambition
Without greed we would never be were we are today with the advancement of technology and mineing of resources it also is an handy cap for us. The same burning passion it ignited us with also keeps us down. We would be better off not paying as uch as we are for internet and getting rid of pattents so we can enhance and grow as a whole human race but instead we horde technology to our to the ones to have it and they slowly release it to us to we buy shit phones and computers when they have pcs 10 times better already lined up to be sold to use a few years later.

Without Capitalism it wouldnt allow us to continute growing and become better than us it lacks the incentive for people to get off their ass and do shit! we would just sit home and smoke pot all day if we could but the world I live in wont allow that so i get hopped up on substances to compete with other rivals for a better chance of getting rewarded for my hard work.

The problem with equal sharing is that we only have X resources and everyday the population increases thus is x divided population = a lower amount of resources per person. thus since we are greedy fucks we cant have that happening.. i dont want to mop the floor or cut my grass so i get minorities to do it!( i cut my own grass but its an example) For one man to be rich many men must be poor. The people who designed the system guilded it in such a fasion that no one would turn against them bc they will be rewarded with something shinny for valuable to agree with them thus it will never work to become communist.

Plus im a hard worker i wouldnt want that! Like Obamas health care thing If i was healthy and rich i dont care to spend more money on sick folks. if i was poor and unhealthy i would really need that healthcare. I mean there is a really nice place with higher taxes with great medical beniifits upnorth its called Canada why dont they just go there? id dont get it.
We need to have health care as it is. Its called Modern Survival of the Fittest If you were not a great contributuion to society you would be better off dead and not useing any resources. If you were worthmore and handicaped with an illness like steven hawking then you would survive. Thus its a way to breed a stonger generation for future generations. God Knowns we dont want Week DNA for our children.. Call me Sick Call me Crazy Call me what you want but im a visionary i would like to see more selective breeding to evolve the human race as a whole with smarter healther and stronger genration.. Im looking toward the furutre and if i was a sick man i would understand that i would have to die without offsrping for the betterment of man kind. Thus i dont support proloning the lives of the genetically weak unless they contribute to the efficiency of man kind in another fasion.

Thank You For reading
I am new here and will post more stores for you folks hope you enjoy and support some of my revolutionary ideas. Before any more posts i would like to say im not a racist bias or any of these ( i may be but i dont think i am) i am just a product of the ameiKan system and view life though my pair of eyes in a clearer vision almost like a hunter S Thompson but a more "REALIST".. Way

genocide doesn't seem to go over to well. I mean you can get pretty close, but usually someone's gonna cap you.

realistdude I want to question some things you wrote. I understand your viewpoint and what you're trying to say; but you seem confused and not so realist to me. Plus, your writing skills sucks. Apparently, that doesn't count in your "Modern Survival of the Fittest" society. Mine are not so good neither, but English is my 3rd language...

"Capitalism Represents Human Nature "GREED"
Greed = Human Ambition "
Here you compare your local or national habits with "human nature", and you assume that your way of life and economic system (the american?) is better than anyone's else on earth. Isn't that a bit arrogant?
I don't think we should blend human nature or humanity with human civilization. Is not the same. Civilization is about 10000 years old; and our biological bodies + 200.000 years.

Aside from that, I don't think we can really express objectively what human nature really is since it is always - at least in regular states of consciousness - subordinated to the human mind.

Without greed we would never be were we are today with the advancement of technology and mineing of resources it also is an handy cap for us.
What about cooperation? Symbiosis instead of parasitism?

Why do you want so much advanced technology for? and what's the point of having so much technology if you don't yet know how to treat other human beings? how does that fulfill you or your community?

Without Capitalism it wouldnt allow us to continute growing and become better than us it lacks the incentive for people to get off their ass and do shit!

How do you do it? by exploiting other people and taking away their freedom? Do you think is right to do that? Just because you are economically stronger or because you want to play a game they are not playing"?

Its called Modern Survival of the Fittest If you were not a great contributuion to society you would be better off dead and not useing any resources.

Does human society own Earth and its resources? Do you call that being a realist?

How do you measure the contribution to society? Who decides what is a good contribution and what is not?

What is a good contribution to you? Is it just growth for the sake of it? Do you not contribute when you bring good ideas and art? When you try sustainable ways of bringing happiness and well-being to other human beings? When you fight for freedom? When you grow food and feed people? Is any of these in your agenda?

Im looking toward the furutre and if i was a sick man i would understand that i would have to die without offsrping for the betterment of man kind.

How does that improve mankind? and how do you relate it to eugenics? I would understand selective breeding experiments in a peaceful utopian village like Huxley's "Island". But how does it help NOW, in the era of globalization? How do you implement it and why?

Just of curiosity, what do you contribute to society? or should I say to the Matrix? It's all real man! :D

IWGT I never mentioned genocide one just wouldnt want to allow genetic defects to procreate offsprings

Im no good without Msword spellcheck haha

Echoes,
My name is just hipocrocy it stands for nothing but everything i have leing to my self about simultaneously

1 Yes, Arrogant but these are the opinions i have developed into. You do have a point about not blending human nature with human civilization but its going on everyday. Just more subtle now days. War is actually liberating now. Racism is thought inside the head and should not be repeated allowed. Killing is called eliminating the insurgents hahaha or w.e

2 advanced technology is used for human activity efficincy but i see most of it is created for our own destruction ex. bombs and nukes, better primitive guns ( hammer hits primer it go BANG) haha simmilar techonogy for over 100 years.
I have more on this topic about the " parasites"

3 . well i never invented the game it was already created to win in this society i live in one must play or become played.
You have no choice to play or not if you want resources ( im not even talking about alot even to suvive you must get some sort of job)

4. Well im not a fan of globalization to preserve cultures but from what i have observed i see flaws in cross culture breeding. such as the white men having allergies and if we were to breed with lets say an asian the caucasion/asian child would most likely have some sort of allergies bc it may be a dominant recessive trait? Not only that if we keep cross breeding we will all look similar to one another as far as physical asthetics do we want that? Im not saying yes or no im just curious. I dont impliment anything i just sit back and watch the show. this is just what i see happening or guess will be happening. What do i contribute? Absolutely nothing imporant to go in the history books ill tell you that much.. what will i gain enough to live and procreate a contribution of humans of my own and hopefully i will raise my offsrping not to be fuck ups. What do i want to contribute? to run a business that provides people more utility in the product or service i provide than the resources the give me.

Now about what i think the Human Mission is?
What are humans? We are like a virus infecting the host we call earth. We soak it of all its nutrients to thrive but is that all?
No. What were we ment to do? Do exactly what i mentioned to be a disease or virus to infect and procreate to increase our numbers and zap the earth of all its glory. We are all differnt some live in symbiosis many just utilize and support the polution of the planet. But what will we do when the resources run out? that is the amount of time we have left . we can continute to use this place as long as it can sustain out lifestyle untill then we must advance in technology! What will we do with this technology you ask. Well Joe, were gonna get off this rock and find us the next one to suck the life out of. Soon enough we will have fleets of humans in special crafts travling outside our normal reach and inhabiting other planets, galaxies ect and eating up the resources like never before and i wish those bastards the best of luck becasue i have no freeking idea whats out there and the villans waiting for us on the other side so. untill then we should build the biggest badest things that go bang in hopes on protecting us from "danger or anthing we dont understand but feel threatening to our survival"

But then i does suck that were so greedy and cant get the main damn picture and we really should work together like a bobsled team to achieve our goals and leave the nest. I wish we could all collaborate but the world wouldnt want us to do that. the people in charge like to fuck other people and exploit them. that i hav no control over but what can i do? thats why US sets embargos on countries like north korea with nukes bc they outcast them and set an example out of them saying your evil we shouldnt do business you bc your not following directions for the "allies" or w/e part of the WTO doesnt do busiess with them ? and you wonder why they are so poor? bc they stood up for them selves and kept there balls and there shitty nukes. ( going off tangent will stop this here)

Most of my statements isnt what i believe in its more along the lines of what is actually happening in this world that i am living by in hopes of playing my cards right. When the cards on the table are shown only then will i know if i have a chance other than that im just relying on hope

Ok im sorta half assing these bc im pressed for time but ill try to spit out main ideas

We aren't going to outlive earth, it's just a fact. We can't leave our solar system, we like to think we will inhabit the universe, that our race won't die, but we will. It's beautiful. I was at a concert today and I saw life. I saw it. It was grand.

Secondly, we don't have a purpose - we aren't here to be a cancer, a disease on earth. You can surely look at it that way, tell yourself the human civilization is killing it's host, but that's just a negative vantage point. We have discovered ourselves as both the end all and most dominant of species. We don't have a purpose so why preserve earth?

Well, empathy. Those who see death and fear death themselves would never want it upon someone else, but is empathy really the divine path? Is empathy really 'correct'? Why not kill earth, why not eat ourselves to death?

?

I know the answer, but do you?

no, it's the other way around.
As u take 2 completely different genepools (asian and cauasian), there is less chance for ending up with homozygotic recessive genes..
btw; dominant recessive ? it's or dominant or recessive or co-dominant

or incomplete dominance :ANAL:

Hey! I completely forgot I posted this thread. Glad to see where it went!

I still stand by my philosophy of just going along and doing what I love to do. Everything that is happening is happening and will happen again for us (if we don't complete self-annihilation). Look at all of the great civilizations that have been and gone. We are one of them.

Humans are too variable and inconsistent for any of our good ideas here to do anything at all. Yeah negative, negative, negative. But it's what I see, it's probably what I want to see. Fuck, I'm 18. Life is long. My ideas will, as they have, change and change again. What we're wondering now is what we're supposed to do.

What am I doing to help things? Nothing at all. I don't want to help our situation because anything you or I do is not lasting. No matter what the morals of Disney movies tell you, you are insignificant (more so now than ever as we near seven billion people). You could make a difference I guess, but it wont last. I think seven billion people is far too many to coordinate, like I said before, we are too variable and inconsistent.

I encountered the idea that literally nothing in life matters, life itself doesn't matter, in the character Don Juan Matus from Carlos Castaneda's first book. I like that a lot, it gives me some sort of comfort (being someone who had/has intense anxiety).

In the past I've given serious thought to bombing large areas of human populations. But now I think I'd rather just dig the Earth and it's non-human beauty (because anything beautiful we humans make is somewhat tarnished for me, knowing that it is man-made) while I can, steering clear of our mess as best I can. We will end, but it'll be a long time from now.

The Earth seems like something so important, so beautiful that I don't want to see it damaged by us. The other side is that the universe is pretty big, how many Earth-like planets are there? I think our planet and what we do to it is truly insignificant.
