Question pretty well addressed in the title. Do they need a lot, or just a little? Is it more dependent on the humidity?

You can use ANY light, and then just need maybe 6+ hours a day.
The best bet is get them in a container with only the top or top half translucent.
They just need a reasonable window of time to establish "bright = up."
You can also wrap the bottom of the container/fruiting chamber in a blaket, towels, shirt whatever will keep the lower part dark.

I think that shrooms doesn't need light at all. Couple years ago I have forgotten one cake in room without any light. And what happen? Shrooms emerges out! So how this happen? No light!
I know that shrooms are saprophytes and light isn't their activator. But this is only what I have XP and seen.

Goran.Hrsak a dit:

No they dont, Paul Stamets says in his book, that there are species of mushroom which need light to fruit, but the psilocybe mushrooms dont
