i realize there are members from everywhere on the planet either visiting or joining the forum.
I live in a country where although cannabis is illegal, the police and courts really dont care about small amounts. Psilocibin mushrooms have recently been reclassified as a class A, but i have never heard of a prosecution yet. MDMA sells for 50p/£1 and its everywhere. my point being its not too big of a deal.
describe the laws and necessary precautions you have to take at home to avoid losing your stash/liberty

If anyone is following me, they know who I am (or atleast my location within 5 square miles).

I honestly don't think you have to be careful. the FBI isn't on here to catch us, they are on here to catch them... specifically those who post alot in the "synthetic extraction research section" - the synthesizers, distributors, and big time sales men.

You WILL get arrested if you are openly endorsing your use, putting a big sign on your house "I SMOKE CANNABIS" and so on - but for solo use you are ok, with anything basically.

DMT is a hard category since you basically need to make it to find any - so... it's a risky place. If they wanted to get all the DMT makers, they would. But since its not sold often, and the high lasts 15 minutes, it's a very secretive and unknown substance.

I'm sure I'll get my house raided in about 1 hour for posting this

It's not such a big deal in Canada. Police know the difference between a guppy and a shark (betta and arapaima?), so it's nothing to worry about unless you are involved with a big grow.

:weedman:

SWIM might be being a bit more paranoid than necessary, but he doesn't trust people in general and even more so in the position he will be in.

I am curious what measures people think need to be taken as far as internet/computer security goes? Things to and not to say on the net, whether "SWIM" is effective or not, etc.

Swim isn't going to save you when it comes down to it.

Beyond that, as it is clear to some of us, when you get on this site your ip address gets logged and is very easy to see. IP addresses can give you your city and longitude + latitude VERY quickly.

So, in essence we are all basically giant red beacons on the internet. :)

If you don't use a proxy, it is already too late if you care.

If you actually intend on selling anything or synthesizing anything, be smart and don't use the internet.

i don't sell

when i was in highschool i used to skip with my friends and smoke while walking on the street and i used to love to take 'sneak hits' everywhere. in class, in starbucks, etc
i've even done lines in class
the last time i shroomed i ate them at a diner in front of the waiters

...basically, i don't have to be careful

Such a badass...

Around here, anything out of sight is pretty safe, as far as the local police go. The only time I'm ever remotely concerned with being caught is when buying outdoors, and even then it's not really a problem if you know where to do it. I am more cautious whe in a car with pot, but that goes no matter where you live. As far as drugs other than weed, I wouldn't know but I don't imagine I'd have to act much differently.

One of the coolest smoking spots in town is actually at the top of the Home bleachers at the high school football field :P

Oh, and I'd neer discuss selling or synthesizing anything online, but for anything else the internet seems prety safe.

That reminds me also, when discussing with friends, I always opt for a call rather than texts. To retrieve the content of a phone call it wouldhave have to have been tapped, but once you send a text message it goes into archival storage at the phone company. A court could theoretically get records from 2 to 3 years ago or more.
