i got hold of some pure acetone and want to have a go at my own extraction, i've been looking at teks and there seems to be a discrepancy on how long to keep the leaves soaking for before you strain them off, one tek said like 2 minutes no more, while another oe said 2 hours, has anyone here successfully extracted their own and if so how long did you soak it for?

my apologies, i have a big collection of salvia leaves and i'd like to concentrate it with acetone, but im not sure precisely what's the best way to do this

I think the longer you soak it the better (don't overdo it though).. You just give the salvorin time to diffuse into the solvent. If you don't have the time you can suffice with a shorter soaking time, but i would do it like the erowid guy.
